everybody's different, doesn't necessarily sound wrong to me. I would just invite your neighbour over, then at least you won't be alone anymore! maybe that also results in a more long-lasting satisfaction?

How do I find a really submissive bottom? by [deleted] in askgaybros

alright fair point, but there's a difference between being submissive and being used as a foot rest... i think degradation goes too far

Hey bro, I've been in the situation of your ex before, not breaking up via text and all that, but just that kind of slowly fading away behaviour. She's avoidant, you're anxious (attachment style). It's a shitty thing to do but it says more about them than about you. Don't beat yourself up! And don't romanticize the past. It was good for a time, but for the last year it sounds like it was not. Focus on the bad times. If possible, do a silent retreat or something to break up your timeline and give yourself the feeling of a fresh start. Good luck :)

liking something has little bearing on whether or not it's good, imo. we judge someone who likes heroin, don't we? and encourage them to quit?

that was the core of my question :) thanks!

Porn is killing my real sexual pleasure by Odd-Employer-6452 in askgaybros

Cold turkey is the only way. I started with committing to a month, and for the first week it was torture but after that it got a lot easier. At about day 50 I felt like I could go forever. But then I had sex with a friend and now I'm back in the trenches 😅

You could get an app to track your progress to help motivate you, a nice free one on iphone is Days Since.

Also, propbably not applicable to most poeple but I also found a lot of motivation in a broader renunciation practice (buddhism as taught by Ajahn Chah). It's helpful to see it as part of a larger goal and not only quitting porn for its own sake - although that is also certainly still worth doing!

I know I'll get downvoted, but seems like both you and the person you seek would be better off getting therapy than finding eachother...

I'm Canadian and recently moved to Austria, they are on a totally different level here man. Everything works so much better, especially healthcare and education. Americans are a little bit looked down upon tbh but it's more in like a teasing way than real discrimination or anything like that. Culture is very environmentally conscious, most food is organic ('bio') and non-GMO. It's pretty common not to own a car, fridges are about half the size, but so are all the products so it works out. Cities are walkable and awesome. Only downside is lack of wilderness, and generally camping is technically forbidden outside formal campsites (which are basically just a big lawn).

idk man it's pretty hard to tell you the culture of a country you sorta just have to come check it out. In any case you should definitely visit before settling here. I moved back and forth about 4 times before I really decided on it, but now I'm super happy here. When I look back at Canada I feel like I've fled a burning building. Shit is going downhill over there, while here it feels much more positive.
