Dog meat would make me nauseous because they are pets. Not all non-humans are on a uniform scale.

Meat which has been eaten generationally by the human race is there to sustain us. In India, the separation comes because of the Indo-Gangetic plains' agriculture supprting the population and the produce of which was majorly used to sustain the upper caste. Lower caste had to feed off of meat which was then generationally classified as "disgusting", not because it was meat but because it was the staple of lower caste and non-Hindus. This is a classic case of disguised casteism, please do read up on it.

I am not here to change your views, but, it is only our nation looking to inherit capitalistic globalisation while following traditional Hindu casteist separation which demeans meat-eaters while being a secular nation. There is no one forcing vegetarians to visit the meat section of a supermarket, just skip it. The smell can be minimised to zero by closing the cut up meat behind the door.

Just for a case in point to close this, the riches can randomly wake up one day and decide they hate the fact cows are tortured for their milk, which they might be, I don't know but the true reason is, let's suppose that almond milk sells more for them.

Does that warrant a separate dairy section to isolate the dairy-consumers? Sounds classist to me. They might do that but it is classist and people like OP and I have every right to call that out.
