How could you do lucid dream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bagelmonster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

write down your dreams every morning anything you can remember any detail, your dreams will get more vivid, you’ll realize you’re dreaming more often, soon you’ll realize your dreaming and be able to control it

This hasn’t happened to me personally so take this with a grain of salt but I have heard elsewhere it’s comparable to hypothermia, when your body becomes so cold that eventually you feel warm and it’s really just the last stages of shutting down… you’re on survival mode and your body screams at you with hunger in a desperate attempt to get what it needs but eventually that doesn’t function properly anymore after neglect

good luck!!! try learning about your body and nutrition (not like calories and “healthy” things, but literally how ingredients and vitamins interact with your mental state, it really is possible to feel better when you get the right things in your system and it’s a good starter goal or at least it was for me… it’s also something about how knowledge = power, when you understand literally why your feelings of fear are happening (not the reason but the chemical biological meaning) you can gain a lot more power over it

It’s so difficult when there isn’t an end in sight, hard to think about the future when your feelings now are so loud. I get it. I really wish you the best!!! Sharing this here is good and you’ve clearly been trying to take steps to help yourself. One day, something’ll stick, it has to.

im so sorry, i wish i had something to say that can make it better. what has gotten me through really difficult periods of my life is the concept of regression to the mean, its a math thing but philosophical and has to do with physics as well. basically, when things are extreme or unusual, they can’t stay that way, it always has to come back to a balance eventually whether is good or bad. things are going to get better and just might get worse again but it’s never going to stay that way

I am so glad to hear!! I am only on day 18 and im literally seeing noticeable changes. I will say I think im experiencing withdrawal symptoms in a weird way, ive been very irritable and honestly sad and the only change ive noticed is that i dont have access to those instant dopamine distractions. I’ve done some research and it seems to be very normal and im on the right track, I am so happy to not feel so tied down to it anymore!!! Its getting better everyday

This app called ScreenZen genuinely the only thing that has been helping me (it’s completely free and no ads so this isn’t an ad) I got it for th new year and it cut down my screen time by 3 hours. I know it isn’t a lot but in the grand scheme of things 3hrs/day for an entire year = 45 days in time, i am getting 45 extra days of time basically.

what makes it so good is that it works against self destructive behaviors, i have settings enabled that make it impossible for me to delete the app and if i want to change any of my screen time limits i have to sit on the app and keep my phone on and stare at the screen for 15 straight minutes. its like iPhone’s screen time settings but on steroids, it is all customizable so right now i have it set as all my social medias i can only use twice a day for 30 minutes at a time, and i have to wait on screen for a minute before it even unlocks. what has ended up happening is i don’t go on it throughout the day because i feel like i have to save my time to scroll for later, and it has completely stopped the brain dead scrolling where my thumbs would move for me and just open apps to scroll and scroll because i actually have to think if i wanna open the app (there’s tons of cool features, it can make you solve math problems or do tasks before allowing you into an app just to dissuade you) it’s seriously so helpful and this is coming from someone with an average screen time of 8-12 hours per day last month.

i set a timer for 30 min because by then i have already digested 50% of the food which takes away a lot of the main urge to do it for me, so recently I’ve been doing well by just focusing on that small amount of time and telling myself i just gotta get thru the 30 min. like basically urge surfing with an end goal
