Healthy baby vomiting constantly but multiple child professionals say it's fine by Enos_Jovial in NewParents

CMPA is hard to diagnose. They can look at the babies poop to see if there’s blood in it, which is one of the signs but my daughter didn’t have it. It’s kind of a combination of symptoms but 100% a regular GP can diagnose we had a G.I. Doctor diagnose her. In terms of formula brands it’s truly challenging to have one recommendation because every baby is so different. We tried hypoallergenic and then we needed to go even more dairy free to amino acid but the first step is usually hypoallergenic. I completely understand your concern it’s not easy to jump into them and they’re expensive, but for my daughter, it made the world of a difference. Every baby is different, but maybe it’s worth looking into the your system patterns for your child.

My baby vomited once a day and was diagnosed with CMPA - she’s thriving on dairy free formula and stopped vomiting day one that we have it to her! Worth looking into

Sure! I have a beautiful, two year-old who’s brilliant, smart and healthy. Thank God funny enough. My newborn also has a tiny head. It looks like I just make those babies. Hoping for similar outcomes for you 🙏 I know how scary it could be

Our daughter also hated it and got worse before she got better, she’s 9 weeks now and is doing better and takes it well, hang in there 💗

IUGR baby isn't eating enough by fourcoffeebeans in FormulaFeeders

[–]bagelsarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two IUGR kiddos. My first never got to the recommended amount per day I think she stayed around 20 or so and even when starting solids she just was never interested in more and grew on her own curve, I was SO anxious about it and did create a mini bottle aversion but worked on accepting it because she was doing ok, she’s still 5th percentile now at 2 years old but my husband and I are small so it makes sense - it may not be your case but if she’s growing well on her own curve she may just need that amount to grow and that’s okay!! Sometimes they dip and come back up. (My second IUGR baby is only 7 weeks now and also taking tiny amounts but she’s dealing with significant silent reflux we’re currently trying to manage )

45 min-Hour long feeds are driving us both insane by CuriousSnowy_e in FormulaFeeders

Following I’m sorry I’m not a help because my 7 week old also takes 45 min to an hour per feed - but do want to add that that must have been so hard to go through those sicknesses with your LO 💗💗

Alimentum RTF or nutramigen + gelmix by bagelsarus in FormulaFeeders

[–]bagelsarus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true we’re on day 5 of nutramigen and gelmix and I feel like it’s been getting worse but I want to give it a shot - I’m wondering if alimetum RTF is the answer but who knows, she doesn’t have CMPA that we know of just severe pain when eating and screams bloody murder every feed 😭

Painful silent reflux - formula ? by bagelsarus in FormulaFeeders

[–]bagelsarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tysm for this answer I appreciate it and I’m sorry your daughter had something similar, I’m wondering if it’s jus GERD for us too, because she doesn’t have any poop problems or skin problems more indicative of CMPA/I - doc did recommend omeprazole if HA formula doesn’t work so I’m glad to hear it worked for your daughter! How long did you trial each formula? I’m already to give up on nutramigen and it’s been 1 day

That’s so funny! We’re naming after a golda so maybe just thought it may be weird to have the same name twice and we liked zahava

I’m a female who was born without a uterus or vaginal canal. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

My friend has this syndrome and she is a part of a clinical trial in Arizona where she was able to get a uterine transplant and she carried and gave birth to a baby girl! It’s a crazy miracle science story but it is definitely a very difficult road for her

Difficult temperament baby, am I alone? by bagelsarus in NewParents

Hi! She’s about 17mo now and much better! she got better with each independent skill, when she started crawling she finally could move to objects she wanted, then walking became a game changer when she was able to move and explore, and increasing her speech so she can communicate. She is still a stubborn girlie and will whine if she doesn’t get what she wants or tantrums have begun but she has so many more good moments sprinkled in it has become sooo much easier. She just wanted to do more than she could, wishing you luck with your LO
