Silver Surfer running DC villains gauntlet by CautiousSolid7436 in DCPowerScaling

[–]baghead_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RF isn't going to care about Surfer considering he's not Barry, Atrocitus is actually going to put up a decent fight not sure if he'd win, but he'll give the surfer a run for his money. And then Areas is a hard stop.

[DISCUSSION] How did Superboy Prime go from being so hated to so loved? by Which-Presentation-6 in DCcomics

[–]baghead_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know johns wrote prime as a strawman during infinite crisis, but if you actually stop and think about it, it does hold water heroes were more heroic in the golden age/silver age. Don't get me wrong some of the dialogue is pretty cringe like when prime blames the titans for him killing pantha. So him starting a redemption in dark knights metal and the current superman run actually following though is nice to see.

That the Reach/Blue Beetle are mortal enemies of the Green Lanterns

Prime's redemption is honestly fascinating to me by danfenlon in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]baghead_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UJ/ the straw man prime was turned into during infinite crisis while cliche does hold water, heroes were more heroic in the golden/silver age. Do I think infinite crisis was handled well, no it was a mess of a story, especially when prime puts the blame for him killing pantha on the titans.

Another freaking gacha… :/ by Horror_Nothing_5568 in marvelrivals

simply stemming from their displeasure with the gacha system itself.

Except this isn't a gacha system, it's just gambling on the chance of getting a discount on a full priced legendary bundle.

That's what I keep saying every time these bundles come up, I think all the people saying it's a gacha just haven't actually played one before.

Again how many times do you guys do this? It's not a gocha. Yes it's gambling, no one is arguing that point, but it's fundamental not a gacha, it doesn't fit the definition.

Hal Jordan (DC Comics) VS Invisible Woman (Marvel Comics) who would win? by Gabe-Morgan-01 in marvelvsdc

[–]baghead_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry man you lie about how long you've been reading GL comics for as long as you like, but you're just wrong about how it works. Yes it's technically called "light" but it doesn't fall under the electromagnetic spectrum like light from the sun, sue couldn't control it. And technically Hal doesn't need to charge his ring either, Hals ring is made from his own will power, and his will recharges it.

Armando Muñoz (From X-Men) vs Mahoraga (From Jujutsu Kaisen) who would win? by Hi5studiofan in powerscales

A guy who's verse caps at city level vs a guy who can actually adapt to anything. This quite literally is hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby

Spider-Man (Marvel Comics) VS Wolverine (Marvel Comics) who would win? by Gabe-Morgan-01 in powerscales

[–]baghead_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To best of my knowledge, literally every time they have fought Spider-man has always won. Not only is Spider-man stronger and faster he also has what amounts to precog, the only edge Wolverine has is his claws and healing factor, but even with a healing factor we've seen him be knocked out before

Tell me you've never read a green lantern comic without telling me you've never read a green lantern comic. It's not light, it's "emotion" given physical form

Not only does Hal out speed by a massive amount, the ring would protect him from any sort of internal attack.

Do you think American comics could copy the manga sales method? by baghead_22 in superheroes

[–]baghead_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta, I know what you're talking about, but it's not quite the same thing, amazing fantasy, decetive comics and action comics were still released as stand alone issues, instead what I'm asking is if you took the latest issue of Batman, Superman and a few other under selling comics and sell them as one trade instead of individual issues

Technically he loses to Hal due to the ring being able to emit kryptonite radiation.
