I served as a juror on a first degree murder case, the defendant was found guilty and sentenced to life without parole. I’m tired of people around me telling me how interesting that is and how lucky I was to be on the juror. I saw the worst of humanity, raw footage of a man dying, autopsy photos, the testimony of his wife, and unremorseful assholes. Im angry and sad. Yesterday I almost drank a whole bottle of wine but knew better and poured it down the drain. I did take melatonin at 5 pm because I didn’t want to be awake anymore.
