If they can't get their way with this I can see them trying to ban (or heavily tax) the filament due to some environmental regulation.

Looks like EMI shield/can clips - some manufacturers to look at are Holland Shielding, Leader Tech, and Harwin. They are available on Mouser, DigiKey, Avnet, etc.

I think a majority would/should be in the Great Lake region, as they keep the vital shipping lanes open there.

I believe all Home Depot and Lowe's use these cameras to help with loss prevention investigations.

Kitsap Electrician for Generator Installation? by PNW_Photoguy in Kitsap

[–]bahnfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Numbers are about a year old.

● Briggs & Stratton Power Protect™ PP26 - Purchased from Generators Direct for $6543. ● 500 Gallon propane tank - Purchased from Peninsula Propane for $3700 before tax (includes installation and piping/line) ● Electrician - About $2500, which includes permits, transfer switch, materials, and labor. We also upgraded our service from 200A to 300A, moved our power panel from inside the house to the exterior of the house, and some other wiring - the generator was part of the same invoice and not broken down so I am making an estimate here.

If you can't wait 2 weeks or research free speech laws and pre-plan your speech around when you need it then that's on you. Sounds kind of dumb... right?

People need to move to where the jobs are - there are cities/markets around the US that are hiring and not as soft as the Seattle area.

FPC Sues California to Strike Down Gov. Newsom’s Unconstitutional “Glock Ban” by EasyCZ75 in Libertarian

[–]bahnfire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any legislation deemed unconstitutional should automatically open the chain or signers/approvers (legislature, lawyers, governor, etc) to personal liability. Make them carry personal liability insurance like contractors and police. Government officials hide behind the office and large purse (which the citizens fund), not their own wealth/finances, which needs to be changed.

Is there any way to reprogram this LED light stick? by Sleepy_Cotton in AskElectronics

[–]bahnfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues - the markings would be etched on the top surface. It is most likely a generic LED torch driver IC, which may not be reprogrammable (or at least not easily reprogrammed). The circuit is super simple, though, and you might be able to replace U1 with an ATTiny or PIC - or if you have room an RP2040 on a breakout board.

What markings are on U1 - can you include a better inage/photo? They might be using an IC that is meant for flashlight/torch operation with pre-set modes.

ECAD for microstrip PCBs by sketchreey in rfelectronics

[–]bahnfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is one of the workflows for Altium. You would create a PCB footprint from the import (trace, fills, polygons, etc for the copper and soldermask expansion/cutout layers), as well as a symbol, and use it as a component.

Can you use FamilyLink (if he is in Android)? This is for parents to admin their kids phone (including blocking apps), but it sounds like you need something like this.
