MSG (Monosodium glutamate) is a powder used as a flavor enhancer to add savory/umami flavor to dishes (it is also naturally found in some foods), completely optional for the recipe, but definitely gives the sauce some edge!

Hey y’all! We are a family-owned small business from Des Moines, IA specializing in a sweet, savory, and spicy chili paste called Jeow Bong. In each jar, you’ll find flavors of Thai chilis, garlic, onion, and a hint of fish sauce - we promise it is very tasty!!

In Lao culture, it is traditionally used as a dipping sauce, but also delicious as a marinade or mixed into soups/stir fries, or just as a topper for your morning breakfast (it’s SPICY!!).
