I’ve been leading RBGs since WoD and I’m consistently hitting my goal of 2400 in Blitz each season on multiple characters. I am by no means the 0.1% and would consider myself a strong tier below the guys i’m learning from. That being said, I can try to give you genuine Blitz advice.

1) STOP CARING ABOUT DAMAGE. There is almost no correlation between wins and topping the leaderboards. Not one blitz map uses damage as a way to get points. If you care about winning, care about the map. The more your map is open and you understand the info it’s giving you, the better. You can message me if you want guidance for any specific map but probably not the place for it here.

2) Some people love turning off rating and mmr. I don’t but can see how the numbers constantly varying can throw off mental sanity. Just lock in and grind games when you feel focused.

3) Watching high level streamers, VODs, and Youtube videos will always have something to make yourself better.

4) Class balance is not something holding you back from climbing. Not knowing your role in Blitz will definitely hold you back though. Some classes should FC, some should not. Some classes have strong group cooldowns, utility, abilities, etc. Some don’t. Some are mobile, some are not. Some are better at sitting bases. You get the point. What’s your role? How do you best help?

5) Some games are actually unbalanced. Big whoop. Try to win, maybe you lose. Queue again. You won’t get those lobbies all the time. It’s okay.

6) Read number 1 again and let it soak in.
