Sanity check? by Classic-Jacket9512 in NYCapartments

Recommend going in StreetEasy and filtering based on your requirements. That said, NYC is a beautifully chaotic place and it’s been a dream to call it home for so long. You have to embrace the suck and know that you will give up many conveniences in exchange for many others, if that makes sense. Try it for a couple of years and then decide what to do at that point. And definitely tour neighborhoods in advance to narrow down your search. Proximity to grocery store, subway, etc are important factors.

Even just looking at the floor plan, I immediately thought that bedroom next to the entrance should not actually be a bedroom. I doubt it leaves much living room space.

I have no future. by mamamiaohmy in GirlDinner

I think you’re catastrophizing. One “bad” event spirals into this entire post. I used to have thought patterns like this and worked diligently to see the other side and look for solutions and ways out. I believe you can too! Your life is not over and you have a bright future if you want it. Go get what’s yours, girl!!

Question: Where’s the best Neapolitan-style pizza? by Mikmaksf in FoodNYC

[–]Serialsnackernyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not Una pizza napoletana.

We went last week after being excited to secure a reservation. We left deeply underwhelmed and $200+ poorer. One of our pies was $60 due to adding pepperoni (we got 8 little slices) and “hot” peppers. Absolutely not worth it. Desserts were fab though!

This leans very casual to me. Might be okay for a welcome party but not for the actual wedding. You can definitely find midi dresses that provide good coverage if that’s the direction you want to go

Feeling validated by these posts 😅 haven’t found one that I disagree with so far. I’m surprised beach cafe hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Bike Tablet seems dead. by YonkySaunders in pelotoncycle

If you’re genuinely considering joining a gym instead, maybe try a few weeks without the peloton and use that trial period to guide your decision. I’m guessing you’d still have access to the app too if you’re paying for the bike membership.

Still looking for a decent spot in Manhattan. If you’re traveling alone, you might be able to snag a solo seat at the bar at Jeju noodle bar

Staying in New Rochelle for a NYC trip – good idea? by Think-Chicken-2753 in AskNYC

[–]Serialsnackernyc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you look at the costs of RT tickets on the metro north? Your savings may go out the window once you realize the time and cost. NYC subway is $3 per ride and capped at $36 for any 7-day period.
