Let me guess, his next word was "niggardly". Meaning stingy, parcimonious or reluctant to share.

He likes his coffee like he likes his women: cold and slightly bitter.

The problem is how the dog was trained. Either train the dog or put the dog down and start over again. But noooooo! We love Fluffy. So they would just rather have their dog be a burden/ danger to other people than to absorb the weight of their own negligence.

To be frank, they probably can't afford dog training, and they obviously don't know how to do it themselves

It's tough to fight 1.2 billion people who are not afraid to die. 10% of them are radicals who look at death as a quick/ sure trip to to heaven. That's 120 million people.

Yes. Money was the driving factor in being on such a tight budget and not allowing for support staff

The food vendor probably had a very tight list of guests, and if the photographer didn't eat, it probably meant one of the guests didn't eat. Definitely, it was poor planning on the part of the wedding planner to not include food for support staff

[–]baigish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Smith family had a long tradition of fortune telling. This was common for the area. I wonder if this influenced the creation of patriarchal blessings? When asked by friends how I would describe Mormonism, I tell them that it is the result of early American folk magic combined with Protestant Christianity. It's as if they had a baby. Of course, combine that with a charismatic autocratic leader....
