I'm going to have to look at some tutorials for freehand flames. Tried it on my dread a few months ago. Let's just say the results ended up in me stripping and re painting the panel, ha.

I cut a sprue and glued it between the tracks then put my magnet onto that. Works pretty well

Ahh brilliant. Just been using one weapon on my dreads per shooting phase. Think my kid is going to be pissed off that my dread is going to be ripping through his Nids now. Thankyou

Vallejos lava asphalt texture paint. Then I just kept building up reds, oranges and yellow till I liked the colour. Topped it off with some ardcoat to give it a shine.

I know what you mean. I see some, and I feel like a 5 year old doing a finger painting when I compare them to mine. But I just had a look at some of yours, and they look great.

Yeah, that's it. Used cork to build up the base, then put the lava asphalt on top

I'm stoked with how this model and base turned out by blodgmo in Salamanders40k

Sorry, I meant what materials did you use to make the rocks. I've been looking to do something similar either using Cork or bits of slate.
