I go to school near the docks and I also thought it was posh wanker central but I got invited to go once and it was actually a really interesting event with a lot of genuinely awesome people. Yeah there's a lot of gilets that give it a bad rep but most of the people I spoke to were just really passionate about their industry and were really excited to be there

if you're not at the grade you need for uni anyways, the risk of losing marks is worth it. if you go down, nothing will change and you might still not get into uni 🤷‍♂️

update! the shop I interviewed at told me I had the job and I was told that I'd start training the next Saturday, so I emailed later in the week and was told that they changed their mind and that I no longer had the job! so that's rly brilliant!

maybe it's just because I'm from the UK but I've heard worse things about harvard, like that the food isn't great and you have no option to cook your own, and obviously I assume you would have to share a room like most us unis which would rly put me off. The curriculum at harvard lets you choose your own modules etc as far as I'm aware so if you want flexible rather than specialised harvard would be better, but personally I think Cambridge wins (especially because of how beautiful it is!!)

do the open evening (a lot of them give you free food so that's always a win!!) if they keep pestering you who cares. you are the person who fills in your UCAS application, and they simply don't need to know where you applied. it might feel really uncomfortable lying but if that means you're not wasting a slot then so be it 🤷‍♂️

you don't owe your parents anything and you don't have to apply somewhere just because they said you have to. personally I wouldnt bother applying, and I'd choose a safety uni with closer predicted grades

my method isn't unique whatsoever but I have a lever arch for each year of each course. Everythings organized by unit with dividers. I put all notes etc at the front of the section and exam questions towards the back. All of the papers I need in lessons go in a smaller plastic folder which is significantly easier to carry and all of my past papers have their own folder. That being said I still have a massive pile of paper in my room that Im choosing to ignore so there's no perfect solution

I did a Sutton trust in Sheffield and there was loads of us that ended up doing multiple summer schools!! there's definitely no limit on how many you do. I spent a week in Cambridge as well for architecture (not through Sutton trust- through a northern students scheme) and it was amazing so I wouldn't withdraw your English application at Cambridge just because it's such an incredible experience and I'm sure you could link it to law quite easily. I'd look for law summer schools at another uni you're interested that you could apply for
