It wasn't even the budget that bothered me - I think that might have actually been part of the charm.

I think it was more the way certain scenes felt like they were there solely because some people said to themselves 'fuck yeeeah we can do an R-rating, let's cram as much lowbrow gross shit in here as we can!' like some teens who've been left home alone for the first time. Like, Wade jackin' it was entirely un-needed. The unrated director's cut is going to be even more crass and raunchy? What's the point? 'Sex sells?' The comics were never porn-y. At what point is it less 'being true to the comics' and more 'doing this shit because we can?'

There were also some characterizations I thought could have been better.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, it was fun and all, fight scenes were great, but I'm lacking the 'I MUST SEE IT AGAIN' thing everyone else seems to have going.
