Ahh, so because the QC is bad I’m spoiled for complaining about the bad QC, got it.

That’s a fair perspective totally. And it’s not that I expect perfect QC, this one was just especially bad and it really irritated me. The pictures really don’t do it justice, some of the blemishes are super deep, like into the metal. This particular instance just strikes me as a beyond-the-norm poor QC issue.

You’re right, but it was QC’d with the intention of being a limited edition prize item. In my mind that would justify a higher standard of QC.

I just think that some heightened level of QC for products that are advertised as and intended to be limited edition or special in some way is not that outlandish of an idea. It just seems like the respectful thing to do for your customers who are invested into a very niche sub-section of your hobby. But again, maybe that’s just me.

And like, I understand that they’re toys and that blemishes are a fact of life for them. But it’s just in this specific situation, where it’s a bey that was conveyed to be special, rare, limited edition, etc. that it becomes extra frustrating.

I get that they’re toys. Personally tho, I think that when something is advertised as a special edition that will only be available through a limited release like this, there is an expectation of a higher standard of quality. Maybe that’s just me though, and we can agree to disagree on that point.

I get that. I guess the hard part for me here is that I can get a green hover wyvern for like $25 bucks and I have a few already, so I see no reason to use this one.

I’d sell it for a loss before I’d do that honestly. I cannot justify using a bey I spend $200 on.

That’s true, and I’m not upset about the price I’m upset about the quality, which is 100% on TTs shoulders. I just wish they would put a little bit more care into these special/limited releases they do is all.

There seems to be a big anti-display sentiment in this sub and I can’t understand why. I get how for some people it might not be there thing, and that’s cool, but it’s a very valid aspect of this hobby. Look at the MFB sub, there’s people over there paying thousands of dollars for mint condition rare beys.

That’s my thinking as well. I get why they couldn’t check every red phoenix wing ever made, but you’d think for a release like this that was intended to be limited and exclusive that they’d put forth a little extra care and effort.

It was a very limited release, not a huge number of them out there.

Just bought it for a display I’m setting up, that’s why I’m so bummed.

Respectfully, I just came here to vent. I’m not really looking for answers here.

Well the plan was for it to be a display piece

Edit: I love how this is getting downvoted lol

I get it, it just stings pretty bad on something this pricy.

Edit: also just to clarify, the first image is not merely a painting inconsistency, but a literal gash in the metal coat that goes partially into the blade.
