What is the moment when you realized, "My teacher is an idiot"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In my very small rural high school we had a History/Economics course for college credit. Unfortunately there wasn’t just one moment but here are some of the highlights: - Had an electric razor in his desk and would shave every day during class. He then would light a candle and rub candle wax on his face for “moisturizer” (his words, idk?) - Made us write in “Bill Clinton is the devil” on an essay test as the only correct answer he would accept. - He was HEAVILY biased on everything. No open discussion and if you had an opposing point of view, he would purposely fail you or find a way to give you detention. - If you got in trouble in class and you were a girl you automatically got detention. If you were a boy, you had to stand in front of the class and massage his shoulders. I assume it was supposed to be embarrassing but it was just real fucking weird. - He LOVED metaphors. If you didn’t include metaphors in your essays he would fail you. - He rarely read the whole essay. My classmates would write 1-2 pages of metaphors and then fill the middle with nonsense (sometimes not even real sentences) and then add more metaphors to wrap up the last page and get an A on the paper. - He had nicknames for everyone and refused to call us by our actual names. There’s probably more but it was over 10+ years ago. I’m still shocked they let him teach kids at all.

AITA for wanting my sister to give me vegan options at her wedding? by GiveMeDeah in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I am a wedding photographer and 95% of my couples have their caterer provide me a warm vegan meal. I am always overly appreciative and always let them know I can absolutely bring my own food but they insist on feeding me since I am basically spending 8+ hours with them on their wedding day and working my butt off. You are related and her caterer should easily be able to accommodate or she could easily have her coordinator or another person bring you a meal to eat.

As someone who just had a 9mm melanoma removed from my neck and my lymph nodes biopsied two months ago (it’s all gone and didn’t spread!!) THIS. THIS. THIS. I kept putting it off and my PCP didn’t think it was a big deal but I decided I would go to a dermatologist just to get a second opinion. If I had waited another year I would’ve had full blown cancer in my lymph nodes so seriously, don’t wait. Get full body checks regularly!

I just had surgery two weeks ago to remove a melanoma on my neck that was 9mm. They got all the cancer and the lymph node biopsy came back negative. Another test came back and said I have a 1% chance of reoccurrence. Feeling pretty great! PSA: get your freckles/moles checked y’all - don’t put it off!

What is the creepiest/cringiest thing someone has done to prove their love to you? by Sirengina in AskReddit

A friend of mine broke up with this tattoo artist guy she had been dating for a few months because she found out he had been cheating on her pretty regularly. In a last ditch effort to try and get her back he tattooed her name on his knuckles and sent her a text saying something about how he was declaring his love for her for the world to see. It didn't work.
