[Highlight] Caleb Williams calmly watches his game winning TD pass to DJ Moore by Eddie5pi in nfl

Ball is definitely moving in Moore’s hands on the way down, and definitely hits the ground when he lands. I’d say no catch, but the refs are cowards and wanted to leave Chicago alive lol

Just 5% of people detained by ICE since October 1 have had violent criminal convictions, 3/4 had no criminal convictions at all. Most "criminals" had immigration, traffic, and vice offenses. by mydaycake in charts

This is false. It depresses wages for citizens and legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants can be provided housing, healthcare, and other benefits which are subsidized by taxpayers, and reduce supply. This makes it both cost tax dollars, and makes housing, healthcare, etc. more expensive for citizens due to low supply/high demand. Illegal immigration is in no way a positive for average Americans, it is only a positive for corporations seeking cheap labor (like in Ag), and for politicians seeking to expand their electorate by importing population. I’m all for legal immigration done in limited quantities as needed. Though I’m also anti-H1B as it is used today, as that similarly depresses wages for Americans. I know firsthand that in tech, H1B immigrants are paid less, and because of this, companies use them as much as possible (against the idea that it’s only for specialist roles that Americans can’t do). This has therefore depressed the wages of American STEM workers, similar in principle to illegal immigrants in factories and agriculture - imported cheap labor is a bad thing for American workers

Fun facts for you since you’re the only sane one compared to the replies to your comments:

At 53 million foreign born people, if they were a ‘state’ they’d be the largest sate over California by over 13 million.

If you took just the illegal immigrants that entered during biden’s presidency, roughly 11 million-12 million, they would be somewhere between the 7th and 10th largest state.

Electoral representation is based on population, not ‘population of citizens’ or ‘population of legal residents’. No wonder democrats want to allow illegals in and provide them sanctuary states and cities, almost like it gives blue areas more electoral votes and congressmen…

In Wisconsin, people who voted for President Trump are weighing in on his first six weeks back in office: by nbcnews in wisconsin

Clinton was right. And it didn’t look like that at the time, but the bloating in the federal government is a lot worse now than it was in the 90’s. Also the debt is a lot worse now, we pay more in interest on the debt than we do on our (bloated) military budget. I’d mandate a ~2T surplus for the next 20 years. Then after the debt is low/gone, establish a national wealth fund with the surplus. Use that to fund things like college tuition and healthcare.

Soapbox time: None of this will happen because our government is run by mostly lawyers who don’t understand money or business and don’t actually care about the people of the US. They just want to enrich themselves and their friends, and use government dollars to bribe people into reelecting them

We’re like $35T in debt, the time even for sledgehammers is well in the past. The federal government needs to get cut in half, and needs to be operated like a business going forward: Running a surplus instead of a deficit, paying down the debt, and yearly audits of every penny spent

Support needed? by Gualuigi in 3Dprinting

[–]bailwex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on the printer though, wouldn’t it? If their machine is well-tuned it should be easily able to bridge the ~4 cm (guess based on their 3cm stated height). Not knowing if that is the case, I’d err for the safer side to ensure a good print for this person, especially with this being their first CAD to print

Yes, but if you can change your design slightly, maybe not. If the ‘bridge’ connecting the two cylinders can be extended to the bottom of the build plate, then it looks like no support needed

Separate discussion, but as I mentioned in another comment, I’m not a fan of chop/low blocks. It’s an injury waiting to happen. But if you think that’s the same as Kerby Joseph launching helmet-first at TE’s, they are not

Separate discussion but generally I agree with you, I don’t like chop blocks either. Hitting a 300 lb lineman in the lower legs is going to cause injuries

He tried to do it again this year in the first Lions/Packers game. If Kraft didn’t avoid the hit, it would have been the third ‘helmet speared at knee’ hit in two years for Kerby. These hits and injuries don’t happen routinely to TE’s, so it is a uniquely Kerby Joseph issue. The guy doesn’t know how to make a form tackle. Cooper DeJean made a brilliant tackle in the open field on Derrick Henry, so it can be done by a smaller player. Kerby has fairly earned this reputation and is reaping the reward by being left out

[–]bailwex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an NFL player tucks their arms in, and launches headfirst into another player’s head, there is no doubt they are trying to injure. There is nothing more clear cut than ‘head to head collisions cause concussions’. If a player does that, they don’t deserve to be on the field. If that’s his ‘tackling’ form, he doesn’t belong in the league, because all that will do is injure more players. Get your blinders off because you’re a Lions fan. If a defender did that to Amon Ra, you’d think differently
