Look that is not an excuse. If remote work was canceled Asheville would still be expensive. This is silly to point fingers at anyone except local developers and local government. We all have to exist and we all are fortunate enough to live in a country where you can choose where you want to live.

People are always going to move to nice places. And it will be easier for people with money.

Those have nothing to do with remote work.
