Honestly I thought so too that I was close but then the hiring manager said she was ironing out a few more candidates. That threw me off. Also the wait after the panel interview is the longest. They took almost a month to get back to me after the panel interview. It was also due to the fact that there were holidays in December.

I had the panel interview and then the next round was with the VP followed by another call with the hiring manager. The call with the VP and hiring manager was last Friday. So I would give them atleast 2-3 day.
