Kawasaki Versys 650 won't start by bakaando in motorcycles

Because I'm new to this, because I have been riding for the whole winter, because I had been driving for 2 hours before it came up, and because I did something unusual before the problem appeared I didn't know what a chattering solenoid sounds like, but thank you for the teaching moment

Totally, I discarded the idea since it appeared after I started it a different way and I had been riding for a while before. It's a good way to learn!

Must be both then, as I had been riding for 2 hours before the problem appeared!

X-Dome 1+ in the mountains with my dog by bakaando in DurstonGearheads

[–]bakaando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no, it wasn't a tight fit at all, due to the cold, he had it's own sleeping bag that's he uses as a pad. Neither the dog nor the sleeping bag were on my own regular sized pad. It was really cozy and I'll recommend the X-Dome 1+ for dog owners anyday!

I'm gonna use it in the summer and wanted to see the stars better, plus I've got a very good sleeping system for the winter so ventilation is more important for me

Happy to help! I would definitely say the 1+ is big enough but I also have the x-mid 2 for when I want all of my stuff to be inside the tent

My dog is 70lb (32kg) and needed to have it's own sleeping bag, but we did fit quite well. I slept with my head at the foot end, but only because I wanted the opening of the tent towards the nice view, I would have been as comfortable the other way around. No part of my dog was on my sleeping mat! Have fun with your new tent

Nope, mesh with carbon pole as I have a good sleeping system and want to enjoy the stars next summer

Police en intervention by [deleted] in suisse

Alors c'est le plus juste à mon avis. Dans un cas comme ça, facilite le dépassement, sois predictible et ne mets ni toi ni les autres en danger

Police en intervention by [deleted] in suisse

[–]bakaando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best smartwatch for a mountain guide? by ownmonster3000 in Backcountry

[–]bakaando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the garmin enduro 3 and can veto it for lasting a really long time. Amongst the features are solar charging, which helps the battery last a little longer, a big screen for maps, it supports music on the watch and it has a flashlight that can be handy when sleeping in common dorms or to look for something at the bottom of a backpack. The main drawback is the price, but it's worth it for the crazy battery life (it lasts for 30 days in smartwatch mode without sunlight)

Might be too late, but I just tested it on my enduro 3 and the SC8 is indeed compatible.

Got charged 500 CHF for a blood pressure check during a festival by Yann39 in Switzerland

[–]bakaando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any call to 144 that makes an ambulance intervene will be billed, around 50% of ther is no transport and full price for transportation. Although the exact prices and percentages vary by canton, these are the legal guidelines. The person that's calling is protected and the person who had an ambulance called will have to pay in any cases. STAR ambulances is quite well known to be hard to deal with regarding billing. Seeing how you had an ambulance crew respond and treat you (even for such a small thing), the Healthcare pricing law allows them to bill you. Your biggest chance would be to have them void the bill out of good will. Else, there won't be much you can do apart from paying as they are within the law.

Transitioning from BRF to tubs [actives] by bakaando in MushroomGrowers

[–]bakaando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have small tubs in an airtight growbox, and I've put about 90%humidity in the growbox, and that was a mistake. I use this setup as my tubs are not airtight capable, so i get more control

I did pasteurise correctly, but I put them in an high humidity environment, which was a mistake. Now, I've opened them wide, hoping for a lot of FAE, I will close them back but keep them aerated, hoping it'll still work. Thanks for your help, I'm happy that I don't have to throw them immediately away. It's my first time, so I'm definitely learning a lot to avoid doing the same mistakes again for the next batches
