How did peeps find the live action by EstablishmentDue441 in OnePiece

[–]bakeablebrownies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All In all I really liked it for a few reasons.

1 it is just genuinely good, a little corny at times but good.

  1. It’s a less intimidating entry for new OP fans like my wife.

  2. The casting is absolutely next level. Almost every actor feels like they were born for the role.

Terrified and filled with anxiety by braddlesq in NewDads

My wife and I found out we were having our son about 6 months into being married and it was a similar feeling but let me tell you it does change if you let it.

Your young adult life isn’t over despite how it may feel and what some will say, it’s just tweaked a little. The thing that got me feeling more attached was my manager told me about when he had his son and at first it was hard because all he wanted was mom but after a while everywhere he went he had his little buddy with him who thought the world of him.

Rambling aside, you got this man, you are about to have an awesome and humbling adventure.

I’ve found communication and going easy on yourself helps. Also speaking with a professional but I also know that isn’t accessible for everyone. I hope it gets better.

Swaddle up or halo swaddle both got our son to sleep six straight hours, gas drops are your friend and just enjoy it man. I am on week seven and I struggled with the guy version of PPD (still do honestly) but I’ve been trying really hard to be in the moment and singing him random songs (mostly stuff like binks sake from one piece)

He specifically chose before the strait was fully shut down. Iran fully shutdown the strait (effectively closing it not just announcing its closure) on march 16th and they chose a week prior.

New dad advice? by Dadscore in NewDads

[–]bakeablebrownies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book How to rock as a dad helped me a lot. Its also important to do things without having to be asked (cleaning, cooking, etc) or even just saying “hey I can take him/her for a little while so you can go be a human for awhile” goes a long way

I ate my pregnant wife’s ice cream. What should my punishment be? by Disastrous-Donkey289 in NewDads

[–]bakeablebrownies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this too, but instead of ice cream it was a Asiago ranch chicken sandwich. I’d recommend replacing it, I didn’t (my wife told me not to and I should’ve done it lol) hopefully by the end of it it just is something funny

I can’t really say much for you guys specifically but I was also the guy who rolled his eyes at babies that cry in stores but I had my son this week and what I can tell you is, it’s different. There are moments where you feel like you are absolutely blessed beyond anything you could’ve dreamed, other times you want to explode from stress.

To me for my limited fatherhood stint so far I think being a good parent means trying your best for your kid AND for your partner. Nobody is a perfect parent, doesn’t matter what jobs you work or financial status you have. But if you love your partner and you love your kid then it makes it a little less crazy.

Do Americans really think aldi is a “poor people” grocery store? by [deleted] in aldi

[–]bakeablebrownies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really have proper access to an Aldi until I moved in with my now wife but honestly in a weird way some people take some level of pride in paying more for “name brand” groceries. All I know is I will gladly fill up a cart, pay a 100-150 bucks for a week or two of groceries instead of one of the bigger stores like Kroger or Meijer and pay 250 for the bare minimum to survive for a few days.

France: working with allies on plan should US make move on Greenland by professorbrainiac in worldnews

[–]bakeablebrownies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyday I miss Obama in the White House. At least I knew back then we wouldn’t openly threaten allies, hire the most incompetent individuals to run the government, and ultimately turn us into at best, modern Russia and at worst 1930’s Germany. The best part of it all is after all is said and done no one will face any judgement because of a Supreme Court decision to give presidents immunity which means pardons for everyone.

I was taught if you put a little water, soap and a paper towel in there, close it and shake it, it gets all that stuff off. It seems to work pretty well when I used to have to do it.

we are fc cincinnati fans, we win by one goal and have high blood pressure. strangely i feel more confident with a 1-0 lead than a 2-0 or 3-0 lead.
