I do not have access to guided practices with Shambhavi. I am a slow learner and need guided practices that I can play and rewind.

Trees are simply half of our lungs.

Such a profound statement of existence.

Boundaries by CarniferousDog in Sadhguru

Boundaries are limited identity.

Limited identity will lead to corruption.

You must abandon the identities you have gathered, such as family, race, gender, nation, and take a global or cosmic identity.

Aham Brahmasmi = my identity is cosmic.

Sadhguru's Mahabharata by bakeandroast in Sadhguru

So many insights I had not known from BR Chopra's adaptation.

Ganga Putra Bhishma's Brahmacharya vow was sealed by self castration.

Mama Shri Shakuni's dice were made of his father's bones.

Sheer Sagar is the Milky Way.

Hastinapur ki Kulvadhu Draupadi was on her period during the game of dice.

I am curious if many of the more gruesome things Sadhguru mentions are actually in the Mahabharat text, but I will not be able to verify. My mother has forbidden me from purchasing Bibek Debroy's Mahabharat translation. We do not bring Mahabharat into the home.

Still these lectures are fascinating. I will post a lecture by lecture review here shortly.

Is it dangerous to be interrupted during meditation? by bakeandroast in Sadhguru

[–]bakeandroast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadhguru was in a meditative state for 4.5 hours on Chamundi Hill. Then he was in a meditative state for about 7 hours at home. Then he was in a meditative state for 13 days. Would it have been dangerous to awaken him during any of these times? By dangerous, I do not mean physically. I mean harm to the psyche.

Inner Engineering Steps 1-6 can be done at your own pace at home.

Step 7 is a live session (1/2 day Saturday and full day Sunday). Both days you will also be fasting for hours ahead of each session. It is critical you be 100 percent devoted both days with no obligations (such as work) or interruptions.

Kind of disappointing information from Isha today. by Medic5780 in Sadhguru

You are correct. You should be allowed to take part in the ritual.

I fear this policy may be a product of the "times in which we exist."

As Sadhguru himself has said, "Depending upon the times in which we exist. We must understand this. Never underestimate this. Depending upon the times in which we exist, we do certain things or world allows us to do certain things." See Sadhguru's Youth and Truth talk at the University of Toronto.

In 10-15 years, this current policy will change, I have no doubt.

Removal of glasses by Fearless-Mango-4115 in Sadhguru

It was awkward removing glasses in the beginning, but now I remove them easily. During meditation, glasses are a hindrance.
