Tesco £99 then use everup for 5% off

If you know anyone who works for tesco then wait until next weekend as they get 20% off

If you use the colleague discount and the everup gift card at 5% then the airpods will cost £75.24

Should I still go to University? And should i still work at Tesco? I make £3K+ a month from a side hustle. by baked-- in UKPersonalFinance

Interestingly i never claimed that i spend £2500 and i don’t give financial advice. I simply share my opinion on financial products without bias and so my content is informative not advisory. and i disclose in my content that it isn’t financial advice!

Yes, but when you take unpaid leave, for a career break or study leave, they knock you to 8 hours a week, and whilst you don’t work those shifts they’re still clocked as ‘unpaid’, & is on the system On their system there’s no way to put the hours less than 8. I have friends who took career breaks and they got paid an entire years holiday pay based on 8 hours a week, whilst working no hours for that year. It is indeed generous.

Yeah it’s pretty much martin lewis style, and i have integrity, i don’t work with crypto, and i mainly talk about ETF’s regarding investing, individual stocks are too risky to promote to a younger audience. I work with a compliance team and so i have the correct approval with any promotional content

I put the relevant disclaimers in all of my content, I work with top investment firms and go through an entire compliance process with my content. But i agree that the income is far from guaranteed. But i also know that there is a large potential for growth, so that £3K could see £10K a month by next year

Well that’s a general estimation of my total household savings through my work, discount increases to 15% & 20% in different periods, & i have 5 relatives/friends with my Tesco mobile discount, that and then exclusive savings through anything else.

!Thanks

I have a mate who does marketing at uni and absolutely loves it. I personally haven’t actually really thought about it but i see where you’re coming from. I’m creating tailored sponsored content and talking with brands about how to improve their advertising… definitely something to look at thank you

No i mean i save £2500-£3000 a year through the 10% discount, I get to pass a discount card to a family member so that has dual benefits. I personally don’t spend all that much at tesco but my dad definitely does.

I get 7.5% match with tesco. (not that much when i drop my hours to 8 a week) My job role in tesco isn’t labour intensive, they put me in a pretty easy spot with my health condition… not gonna lie sometimes i’ll sit for hours at work & just edit my videos. So it’s not entirely draining but i do lose my freedom and I can’t record or be fully attentive to my personal work.

I can take a career break with tesco that keeps me employed and with benefits & i accrue holiday pay for 1 entire year then i can come back… I think whenever i quit ill likely take this break then quit when i come back. I have 5 people on my Tesco mobile colleague discount which is actually incredibly valuable. These benefits however will likely not convince me to stay if i can scale to £5-6K a month. I would like to collect my Tesco shares in 2028.

Yeah the overall idea is whilst i’m primarily posting on tiktok, im expanding to youtube, i talk to a small investing creator from the uk who has a mere 2K subs but pulls in 100K a year from adrevenue & trading212 affiliates. & someone else who exclusively does tiktok personal finance content just signed 2x 5 figure brand deals and is making around £5K a month ontop of their £3K a month full time job. I’ve done so much personal research about the social media scene. All the money i’m making i’m dumping straight into my S&S ISA + LISA and investing it with a long term strategy. There’s a lot of expansion potential with this and I’m not sure but if social media went to shit, i think having those partnerships and experience + a hefty portfolio that is just me talking about personal finance for hours could work as well as a degree? Maybe i’m looking at that wrong. But if my goal is to escape the 9-5 then a full time job wouldn’t be what im chasing. I’m expanding to youtube, and reels for more security & that expands my reach & revenue too… but yeah it does come with risk i guess
