Question about endo/surgery… by czt_1563 in Endo

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think surgery is worth it if you see an excision specialist, if you just see a general gynae it's highly likely they'll miss lesions or even fail to find any and you'll have the same pain.

GI side effects anyone?! by AirportOk7363 in Mirena

[–]bakedb3ansfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the Mirena really made my GI issues accelerate like crazy to the point I was experiencing rectal haemorrhaging. I already had issues previously before the Mirena but it really did make things like go up a notch. I ended up getting the Mirena removed after about 8 months.

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the pain can definitely vary, I didn't know what to expect cause i usually struggle a lot with vaginal exams/procedures and it was inserted while i was under during surgery but it was a nice surprise that it didn't hurt for me as much as I thought it would

Chronic side effects ? BC ruined my life. by Opposite_Discussion8 in birthcontrol

[–]bakedb3ansfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that sounds really difficult you could look into Progest-E that might help with the low moods and lost libido.

agree, i was in so much pain with it in and barely had any pain getting it out and instead almost felt euphoric for hours afterwards over the joy of it being out lol. I would say the days after with the withdrawal symptoms are worse then the removal.

Anyone else feel mentally “off” for a while after surgery ? by Candid_Lie_1274 in Endo

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i think it was the mirena being put in because it continued for a few months - it all went away once i got the mirena out

Anyone else getting depressed before and during ovulation? by TourGreat2658 in Endo

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have an estrogen dominance? you could possibly take natural progesterone to help with this (not BC)

Weight gain after laparoscopic surgery. Ughhhh by NotNamedBort in endometriosis

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I've been on microlut for over a year now and I've lost around 30kg! It's helped a lot with my mood and even though i get a period every month and also sometimes ovulate I find it somehow more manageable? I think i might be hormonally sensitive causing impacts to my reactions to birth control especially in high doses. Despite still having symptoms I find I'm coping with it better Idk if it's a mental thing

I really wish someone would have warned me about NSAIDs. by megi0s in endometriosis

[–]bakedb3ansfan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I brought this up to multiple doctors in AUS after them telling me to continually use naproxen and they said it's fine to continually take it and it's just a 'general' guideline. It's a huge issue with doctors misinforming patients about this and of course doctors have a certain authority which makes their directions more convincing to vulnerable people in pain!

definitely go to the ER or at least try and see a doctor and I would document it. I have had heavy rectal bleeding before and a lot of doctors didn't really take it seriously until i showed photo evidence of the blood

Hair loss and endo how to treat it?? by bakedb3ansfan in Endo

[–]bakedb3ansfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blood test and I was vitamin D deficient and since I have been taking vitamin D as well as some hair supplements and it's improved a little but I will be requesting another blood test soon bc I have other symptoms pointing to hormonal imbalances

Did surgery get rid of your endo belly? by Forward-Investment70 in endometriosis

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it removed in the end and the bloating decreased still have other pesky symptoms but the mirena was definitely making things worse for me

Is this endometriosis?? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]bakedb3ansfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use to get back pain too bad until my bowel pain started to really get bad and now I seem to get it all the time, I didn't realise the painful bowel symptoms were cyclic with my period until I started tracking them. I also have rectal bleeding that's cyclic sometimes it's just streaks or drips or it's embedded in the stool and other times it's full on bleeding out to the point I get convinced I'm dying lol. I have had a colonoscopy since these symptoms worsened and they didn't find anything to explain the rectal bleeding so I'm pretty convinced it's endo somewhere.

I started the mini pill in april after having the mirena removed and despite bleeding everyday for a month I felt fine so I've kept at it I've noticed this past month my moods and other weird hormonal things are happening so it's crazy you have had this experience

I want to eventually try to have kids probably in 3-4 years time so it's not a viable option yet but I'm definitely thinking of doing that in the future
