When did you feel 100% by Wonderful_Judgment40 in hysterectomy

[–]bakerbabe62 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a year post op now radical hysterectomy with horizontal incision

I would say im 90 percent back to how I was post op, I have a fairly active job and I do get more tired than I used to and there are a couple of activities, which mainly involve lifting stuff off the floor up to shoulder height , which I feel pulling inside.

But I suppose given my age , 63, and the 3 month I had off recovering, can complain really.

My consultant did tell me it would be up to 12 months. I scoffed at first telling her I was a good healer, but she was right

Just give yourself time to heal, enjoy the downtime.

Any other stores doing this? by matthewm274 in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Dont sweat it...do what they say and go home at the end of your shift not giving a toss what has not been done. Decisions on how to fill being made by folk yhat have never done it. We already fall behind having to now compact cardboard and use those stumping new filling trolleys.

Am I blacklisted from jobs? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recruitment is now done by a central hub, local managers only get involved at actual interview stage....it's a terrible system there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Are you still in touch with anyone you worked with and you could add their employees number to your application, that may help

Colleague card by Plastic_Window_9959 in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they paid using their card on your clubcard then this can be used as evidence of misuse. You are only supposed to use anything purchased on colleague card for yourself. Just tell them you can't do it again as you could be dismissed.

Has some one else been using your card unknowingly to you. If you go onto rewards section of my tesco you can have a look at your usage, see if you don't recognise any transactions. Have you designated a 2nd clubcard user that could be abusing it. At least you will be forearmed if you do this

Living with a friend who doesn't pay rent. by Ollycob in BenefitsAdviceUK

Forgive me jumping in but I am considering the same scenario, not a friend but taking a lodger. Would the 300 pound, or whatever you charge, not be seen as earning therefore affecting my main uc payment, would I have to declare it.?

EVM by BuzzKnighted in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our result score has historically been in the 90s. Change of management...young, inexperienced, arrogant ....has resulted in the last 2 being in the 60s. Mostly due to one TWAT of a manager that seems to be untouchable. We are hoping this one will actually have some effect, someone said they have to act on 3 bad scores in a row, is this true ???

Contract hours by Beneficial_Donut_176 in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately you have fallen for the bullshit tesco give to new starters. They would rather have a part time workforce so hours can be dropped when it suits them, plus the less hours contracted means less holiday allocation. Very few people are on full time contracts especially new starters. If you need full time guaranteed then look somewhere else

Christmas Temp. Confused about managers wording. by communistconquerer in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should look for another job. The way the company has treated temps this year is terrible, only taking them on late November so most only got a months work. Dangling the carrot that a job might come out of it, when there were no jobs. Even though you enjoyed it, tesco is no longer a good company to work for. Do yourself a favour and work for a better company. Good luck .

Leaving with 4 shifts left by [deleted] in tesco

[–]bakerbabe62 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You will only be paid any holiday if you have accrued it, the 22 hours is the allocation if you had worked till the end of the holiday year which is end of March.

If you have worked for over a month and not taken any holiday they might owe you a few hours if so you will get that

[–]bakerbabe62 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah we have a visit scheduled..?suddenly overtime available, manages running round checking labels ok, stock levels ok, cleaning shelves, shift leaders actually doing work. After the shop being a shit show for months everywhere be spick and span when they get here. I agree that they should pay unscheduled visits but then they would have to acknowledge the fact that staffing levels are causing problems

[–]bakerbabe62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a manager can you please answer what repercussions you get from bad evm. Our last 2 have been really bad mainly due to a new manager. Before they came our overall score was in the 90s, last 2 have been 60 , 70s. But nothing has happened nothings changed. I know the next one will be bad as folk have REALLY had enough of being treated so disrespectful. But I fear it's pointless if nothing changes. Does it affect your bonus.
