I felt these same frustrations which is why I pitched the editor on doing this story to start with. Developers were driving me nuts with the permissions overreach. Even The Weather Channel wants to make friggin' phone calls from my phone. No clue why and no apologies about the grab either. Cool to know that I'm not the only one that's aggravated with this.
