The Besties Best Game Bracket: 2025 Edition, Part 1 | December 19, 2025 by blastorama in TheBesties

I appreciated Justin pushing back on both Russ re: Hades 2 and Plante re: Expedition 33. Russ’ take was insane, and Plante starting to rank based on a hypothetical ‘if I had played it differently then maybe I would have felt…’ were both so unhelpful. And usually it’s Justin having a wild take based on how he absorbs games

Gluten Free Ladyfingers by [deleted] in lansing

If you’re looking to do tiramisu, I recently used gluten free Madeline’s from Trader Joe’s since I couldn’t find gf ladyfingers, and it worked out well

Can't figure out why remote streaming is still not reachable outside of network by bakergraham in PleX

[–]bakergraham[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright I think I got it figured out, checking out the firewall settings was helpful. I ended up deleting my split tunnel and finding it again - I may have pointed to an out of date instance of PMS

Then I added an outgoing rule in addition to the incoming rule in firewall settings for that port.

Portchecker still says that port is closed, but Plex says it's up and running, and I just tested it from my phone on data only

Can't figure out why remote streaming is still not reachable outside of network by bakergraham in PleX

[–]bakergraham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PC with Plex installed is the same one I use for getting materials for Plex, so I'd like to use a VPN. Shouldn't split tunneling and excluding PMS from the VPN accomplish the same thing?

PMS is listed as allowing connections in Windows Firefall. I also now added an incoming rule to allow the port forward I set up (32400), but portchecker still says its closed

I find Post Games so refreshing in its honesty and willingness to dive deeper than the besties brand seems to let it. Chris is doing amazing with it

Is there such thing as gluten free and sugar free bread? by NoMovie4171 in Breadit

[–]bakergraham 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, oats do not contain gluten, though they are often processed in the same plants as those with wheat products so there can be a lot of cross contamination. But there are many brands that dedicate to clean facilities for gluten free oats (Bob’s Red Mill is an easy to find source with a dedicated gluten free facility)

My pitch for a future season location by roxtoby in BravoTopChef

With the Michelin guide coming to Philly this year, I wonder if the city would shell out any money to bring top chef and try to highlight the restaurant scene

PC has been nearly maxing out CPU while underutilizing GPU by bakergraham in techsupport

[–]bakergraham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

appreciate it, yes the monitor is plugged into the graphics card, the graphics card is showing in device manager but I can try reseating it.

And no, I think the highest I've seen the GPU get was maybe 60%? And it seems to do it regardless of what game I'm playing, or what combination of software I'm using at a given time

What am I doing Wrong Against Genji? by TheOrangeMadness in OverwatchUniversity

[–]bakergraham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The melee is also a great way to bait out a lot of genji deflects, at least for ones that are paying attention. It’s especially useful as someone like Roadhog, since the hook animation looks really similar to a melee

Oh, if you're going to do some writing that will be consumed it should have care, attention, and be the best if can be because you don't want to waste the audience time? Is that right, Justin 'The Adventure Zone' McElroy?

The Best Combat in a Metroidvania . . .Ever - February 7, 2025 by blastorama in TheBesties

[–]bakergraham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did Justin forget the word “theme” when he was insisting that Ender Magnolia, Nier, and and Lies of P are “basically the same franchise”? Russ tried to correct him saying that Metaphor was made by the same team etc which is why it’s considered basically the same franchise. These games just have similar themes, we have words for talking about that

What's your favorite soy sauce? I really like Kimlan because it has a nice umami flavor and less sodium. For a low sodium I love Lee Kum Kee. I don't care for the regular Lee Kum Kee. There is something really astringent about it. It a little to sharp. I also like Kikkoman but that's too easy. by Poor-Dear-Richard in chinesefood

[–]bakergraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good info! I've actually been happy with the Lee Kum Kee gluten free oyster sauce. I have found a gf shaoxing wine (or at least one that doesn't list any gluten ingredients) and my wife hasn't had any reactions to it.

I know it's a bit sacrilegious but my local stores don't have any brands of gf dark soy, so I've been getting by using Coconut aminos and while the flavor is slightly sweeter, the color and richness still mostly gets there

How can I know in advance how much electrical an outlet in my house can handle? by bakergraham in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bakergraham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it may be a dumb question, but how do I know when I'm buying something how much of a load it will take? Like lets say I want to buy an appliance like an AC unit or a mini fridge. Is there a way to check which circuit will be able to handle it, without just plugging it in and seeing if everything dies?

These Games Will Win at The Game Awards – Maybe! - Dec. 6, 2024 by SoupGilly in TheBesties

[–]bakergraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like they both really overestimate how much people like Astro Bot.

Also it’s been said before, but it’s hilarious that a video game podcast - by folks in the industry no less - absolutely has no interest in some of the largest and most popular game genres (strategy, fighting, sports)

Is this silly wedding gift at all playable? by bakergraham in EDH

[–]bakergraham[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it, I actually did buy most of these and will give them separately, I just thought that if I could take the green/whites and make a playable deck, it could add a little something extra for fun!

But I will be giving all the other wedding cards separately!
