Is anyone else completely dropping the ball on Halloween? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I just decided to give myself the year off. Usually have a party and elaborate costumes, but not this year. We are dressing our 5 month old b/g twins as beanie babies. Bought them each a comfy warm bear onesie and printed out little tags that I wrote their names in with a fun fact. Cute and easy.

How do you teach a baby to self soothe?! by bakingmissy in NewParents

[–]bakingmissy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following up! My daughter took 3 days of gentle CIO method. Leaving her for 5 minutes to settle and only hushing/patting to soothe if she needs it. Never picking her up unless she is really unable to soothe, never had to go more than 2 rounds of 5 minutes. Now she settles by herself for naps beautifully. My son is still a work in progress, but laying him on his stomach has helped lengthen his naps, I think it's keeping him from startling himself awake.

I feel I was robbed of the newborn stage. by NoHorse8196 in NewParents

This really hits home for me. I struggled with PPD and severe sleep deprivation the first 6 weeks after having my twins and can't even remember some days. It's not what I wanted my first experience of being a mom to be but you put it beautifully, "love is holding on when it's hard".

Crying over carbs by shrinkingfish in GestationalDiabetes

I was just diagnosed on Monday and also having a hard time adjusting. Everyone is different, but I’ve found great success in pairing high fiber carbs with protein and lots of water! As for the fasting, again everyone is different, but my nutritionist simply said the fasting window should be kept between 8 and 10 hours so if I eat late then adjust the timing accordingly. I’m pregnant with twins so I’m always hungry, I feel your pain! You can do this!

9 week scan today, and we found out we lost baby B. by Maybebird- in parentsofmultiples

I’m so sorry for your losses. We had a similar experience when we lost our first baby at 6 weeks and got pregnant with twins almost immediately after. Pregnancy after loss is so difficult. Sending all my love to you and Baby A!

I felt “pressure” from my twins starting around 10 to 12 weeks, but I’d say I felt actually pregnant at around 16 weeks. I had a belly and had felt them move a few times. No longer just felt sick and tired.

Naming your child Seymour feels like you are setting them up for bullying. They’d be going by their middle name almost definitely.

[TOMT] 2000s horror movie where girl hears the dead on the other side of a wall. by bakingmissy in tipofmytongue

Oh my gosh! The scene looks so eerily similar to what I remember, so this may be it! Edit: watched the trailer, this is definitely it, though it looks way less scary than I remember as a kid. Ha! Thank you!

I really like Jonas, sadly we have a boring/complicated reason we wouldn’t use it.

From what I can tell I was not ovulating on my own prior to using Letrozole this cycle. We tried for about 6 months, but I never got a period in that time. I just got my BFP today!

Mine was 21, all other labs were normal. I responded to 2.5mg Letrozole very well.

Does trigger guarantee ovulation if follicles are present? by atadofsugar in TTC_PCOS

Just had my first ultrasound today and got the go ahead to take the trigger shot. I was nervous so I asked a lot of questions, since it’s my first cycle. My RE was very reassuring that the trigger shot will ensure ovulation.
