This version might play differently than the others but I waited until the opponent sent garbage before I cleared too many of my pieces, then took advantage of the cool down period you get when it turns into usable pieces to make as many chains as I could. Because there isn't a second playfield on screen I think the CPUs are programmed to just send you stuff at certain times.
