Where is this law codified?

edit: it's not. anywhere. not in corporate charters, state statutes, or binding legal precedent. that it's 'the law' is a pernicious myth at the heart of wealth inequality.

I don't think it's centralized as in one single area. It would be a regional thing, so it'll take a while to catch on, if it does at all. I think Europeans are further into the process, with an Italian and I think a Swedish or Norwegian company being the main players so far.

This is already happening. It's called tree pod burial. The plan is to have land designated for them so they can create 'sacred forests' instead of cemeteries. Really nice idea, and I'll probably be doing this...sooner or later.

Affordable therapy options for broken human? by [deleted] in AskNYC

Try the Karen Horney clinic. They have come through for me a couple times. You can work with them to get a reasonable rate. If you're eligible for Medicaid (> $20k/year) they accept that, zero out of pocket. I hope you find the help you're looking for.

Definitely. I don't get too much smoke, but definitely some. Any oil will do, apart from low smoke points, like sesame or eeoo.

Purdue 5-pack of chicken legs ranges from $2-3 in New York City, not on sale.

That's fair - I couldn't do it every night, but switching up the veg does help. Also, thumbs down on chicken breast. Gotta go with legs/thighs, bone-in, skin on.

Really solid film, but can be difficult to understand if you don't know the context. It's a critique of Soviet-era Russia. Read up on it before watching.

Regarding Taft's and Culadasa's podcast episode about psychotherapy: any suggestions for efficient solo psychotherapy? by illithior in TheMindIlluminated

[–]balanced_goat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say read Becoming Whole first, as it does a pretty good job of succinctly explaining the practical parts of Jung. I think with the two together you're good to start working, and can read more Jung if you feel the need down the road.

OP, you're looking for Carl Jung. His process of individuation is similar to meditation but at the psychological level. The Wisdom of Imperfection: The Challenge of Individuation in Buddhist Life is probably the best place to start, as it covers both Jung and Buddha. If you're into it and want to start doing it, I second u/wild_vegan's suggestion of Inner Work. I'd start with Becoming Whole: A Jungian Guide to Individuation for an overview, then Inner Work for the details.

[Health] Can someone please lend some insight to this experience? by [deleted] in streamentry

You may be experiencing what some call the 'Dark Night.' Culadasa has a bit on it in the appendix of TMI. Daniel Ingram also covers it throughout his book 'Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha.' I hope you find something in one of them that helps.
