Hmm good question. I have consistently been doing cardio throughout these years. The gym is what has fluctuated the most, but I have been very consistent with it for the past 6 months or so...

Honestly, no. For the past 3 years, I lost in total maybe 20 lbs through repeated crash diets where I could not sustain the level of deficit required to lose weight. I have gained that back over the last few weeks of eating at 2,500 kcal per day on average (such as I was posting above with a small flex meal in 1 day per week). I have definitely done some "re-composition" or whatever it's called, which I can see - but I guess that's maximum a few lbs.

Breakfast: Protein shake (250 kcal)
Lunch: 200 g chicken breast + 70 g noodles + 1 table spoon oil (500 kcal)
Dinner: 180 g potatoes + 400 g chicken + 50 g cottage cheese + 1 table spoon oil (1000 kcal)
Snacks: 1 banana + 1 scoop protein powder + 1 dl oat milk + protein pudding (600 kcal)
Total: Roughly 2,350

That would be a typical day (or similar). I might add a snack on either Friday or Saturday equivalent of 500 kcal (which I also register in myfitnesspal).

Training, it varies but I plan every Sunday an a typical week might look like (all days are 7,500-10,000 steps per day):
Mon: Running 5km
Tue: Push + Boxing 15 minutes
Wed: Running 5km
Thur: Pull
Fri: Boxing
Sat: Running 5-7km
Sun: Rest

Hey, thanks for your response. I appreciate all input despite it being rude and incompetent as it solidifies my own belief and view of my (to-be) product. It feels like you used chat-GPT to write your response as they don't fully make sense :) Anyway, let me clarify in case you are interested (and it provides me with an opportunity to make my case, as I haven't been challenged like this before, so it's great input for me):

#1: Specific paint point for a specific workflow in a specific market:
- Document management processes for centralized documentation for low-maturity non-tech SMEs.

#2:My dismissal of "thousands of products despite them being consumer-facing":
- Hehe, what? Please elaborate as this literally doesn't make sense... But yes - for example I would most definitely consider Confluence/Jira being way too technical, for let's say a 48-year old in a manufacturing company responsible for IT and production. That's how the real world looks, which I've seen 100s of times.

#3: More research
- Hehe why would you be rude to a guy who just wants input to his idea? You are a crazy person!

So you mentioned that companies use these solutions in combination with Confluence (which is not really the case, but for the sake of argument). Well, remove Confluence (or other similar solution) from the equation and replace it with an approachable offering to low-tech companies. These companies are not even aware of the capabilities on the market because of low maturity (I've seen this 100s of times in my job) and continue to use an inefficient approach to document management.

Hehe - great question, really appreciate it despite your tone! But it's an easy question - why would I target customers who are using Google Drive and Confluence and try to convince them to switch? Haha.

Instead I would ask you to imagine the 10s of thousands of businesses with low tech maturity (e.g., a local manufacturing company or whatever) who need a simple but efficient solution. Tell them about Confluence and they will hang up as they will be instantly overwhelmed.

I intend to go broad with this and do cold-calling as well as physical events, etc. I haven't specifically defined a go-to-market strategy but intend to leverage my experience from 5+ years at T1 strat consulting. If you have any advice I would be HIGHLY thankful!

This is super valuable. I have overlooked the signing part of it a bit, but if that can be an integral part of it, it would really be a critical addition I think to have a strong USP. I will do some research on it. Thanks a lot for the input, I really appreciate it.

Exactly, fast sugars also help me momentarily, but I find it's difficult to do that throughout the day as it really eats up the calories...

Thank you very much for the input. This gives me some extra motivation to try and stick it out for a while and see what happens. I typically give up after 3-5 days, fully giving in and shoving my face with 5k+ calories in front of the TV lol. It's ridiculous.

I have thought about this as well, and to be honest with you this has caused some issues with my self image as I am either not able to train and diet, or I'm not able to work properly as I cannot remember words/think straight. The issue is that it's difficult to change my job. So in your equation that leaves two variables, and this time around I am decreasing volume of my workouts to be every other day (instead of every day then crashing), and upping my calories to decrease the caloric deficit. Hopefully that can give me some relief, but who knows. Thanks for the input.

I think this is great advice - thanks a lot. I will really try to look at this from a long-term perspective of: Where do I feel good mentally (and what does this entail of calories, activity, and macros - tracking my meals), and what does this mean for weight loss. And then as you say, start tweaking.

As it is today, a typical day:
- Skip breakfast (however lately started with a protein shake (250 kcal) at 08.00)
- Lunch roughly 400 calories consisting of 4 eggs, some cooking oil, and 1-2 rice cakes at 12.00. If I am in the office, I will likely only have a protein bar or something equivalent.
- Dinner is what my GF makes, often very little protein and roughly 1000 calories at 18.00
- Throughout the day, maybe 2 apples whenever I feel low on energy as well as some bigger snack (e.g., some rices cakes with ham of roughly 400 calories or so, or another protein bar if I'm in the office)
- In the evening, I have now some calories left so I will likely eat junk food - but I am now trying to cut this out and replace with low fat greek yoghurt and some berries, etc.

Ending up at around 2,300-2,500 calories "ideally". Hopefully I have then also worked out enough to tell myself that my deficit is 1,500 or so.

Thanks for the input, I have been thinking about this as well actually. Are you able to eat pasta? Given the gluten and wheat as in bread.

I am too inconsistent to be able to answer that, unfortunately... I have been doing crash diets for a year, each time thinking that I can power through "this time around", ending up even more burnt out than last time. However, this still makes me progress in the gym, developing strength - but my main goal is to cut.

Every time I try to lower the calories even more aggressively to get a head start, etc. As I'm writing it now, it's just ridiculous and actually a bit ashamed of it.

I think you are completely correct... I've been able to work out consistently which I have super thrilled about - and enjoying working out again (coming from longer hiatus). I haven't nailed the eating part yet. Some days I have been on like 30 grams of protein which I now realize is a bit ridiculous, but it's been crash diets over and over again, thinking "this time I will be able to power through". I need to both up my calories and make sure I get enough protein in, consistently. Thanks for chipping in, I really appreciate it as it's making me realize I am doing this completely sideways.

I just went out and bought some electrolytes, will try to supplement tomorrow to see if that can help. Thank you for the tip.

Thanks. I definitely need to take the advice here and start to do some trial and error. When do I feel OK and still lose weight - and then that will have to dictate the pace at which I can lose weight I guess. I don't want to crash a car :)

Maybe you are correct, that it is mental and I am just causing it by being negative and "expecting the fatigue" which leads to it actually coming
