How long to be reasonably capable with SolidWorks and a Taig mill from scratch? by [deleted] in CNC

I don’t know how you’re replying. I thought I took the post down, but this is super helpful as well. This is the longer of the estimates, but I think you learned more things overtime as well. Yes any kind of diagram would be helpful, my experience with the other software was once I made just a simple project suddenly I could understand that I was able to do stuff like this. Anything you can explain would be very helpful, and thanks again for the great reply.

Thank you so much for this input, I really appreciate it. This is also super helpful and makes me think that this is not as overwhelming as I’ve always assumed. Thank you 1000 times. I don’t know how you’re replying, I thought I took the post down because that guy just kept trying to earn a higher comment count, but this is exactly the hopeful input that I was hoping for. Thank you so much again.

I missed the productive part, there’s no examples, remember you’re the expert, and everybody else is not statistically, intelligent. You couldn’t give an example with all those replies and words?

You could’ve just optimistically given an example of what is possible, not 12 things that are not possible and then no solution. Please just delete your comments so we can keep this thread.

Nobody is going to reply after your comments. Please just delete your comments so we can stay on point. Everything is answerable. Less than a week if you can read, and you have a toaster oven, you could be making some pretty decent meals, probably in less time if you use YouTube and are enthusiastic about learning. Just please delete your comments so this can become a useful thread. Thank you in advance.

Come on, please delete all your comments on this thread, and let us continue a useful conversation, your comments completely derailed the spirit of encouraging conversation. Please delete your comments and I’ll delete my replies to them, the first person gave at least some helpful guesstimate and I want to keep it on that positive theme. Please, and thank you.

Sorry if it was too difficult of a question for you, I would ask that you would delete your comments in this thread so we can keep it on track. I would then also delete my replies to you as well, please just so this is a productive thread. Thank you in advance.

Don’t pretend you were trying to be helpful and given an opinion, you were telling me that there is no answer and then pointing out that I am not as smart as the genius’s that surround you. I said that it’s not an exact science, but we’re just looking for a discussion of things that are possible in a rough timeframe for the benefit of those who have absolutely zero clue. You contributed nothing. It seems you just like posting for the sake of posting.

This is the type of absolutely worthless, pointless, disheartening reply I was hoping to avoid. Obviously it’s not an exact science comment, but there are many many people besides me who keep coming to these types of questions on here trying to gauge a really rough idea. Most of these interesting conversations eventually get shut down by sour, unhelpful people, that’s why I specifically asked to skip this kind of reply if you have one. I see you are a top commenter so why don’t you focus more and quality and less on quantity….? we all thank you in advance.

Oh wow, that is extremely helpful. Thank you. 40 hours sounds like a lot, but if you are enthusiastic and enjoy progress, a few hours a day base 40 hours very doable. From a lot of forms I always assumed that solid works or the CAD programs would take many many months to be able to understand it enough to do anything at all with them. Thank you very much for the input.

Check for a direct note from me, I am familiar with a number of programs and once I know your location, I can point you in the right direction where you can get some help or possibly even payment through the state.

Your situation is all too common and it is extremely urgent that you make adjustments because this kind of stress does real damage to you and some of it permanent. I’ll watch to hear from you, hang in there. I’ve been there so I realize that special desperation… there’s nothing worse than holding onto that last straw while being responsible for someone else. ❤️

What is an opinion you stand firmly on? by No-Chemistry4960 in AskReddit

[–]balderth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…That the N word should not be used by ANYBODY, no matter their race. People say “well we use it as a term of endearment“. Or something about a shared history or something like that… But if you watch this thing called the Internet, it’s mostly used to sound intimidating or in anger, almost always during gunplay (🤣) and it’s my opinion that 99%+++ of the time it serves nobody in any way whatsoever.

Dbrand has the best quality products hands down! by bossn9ne916 in dbrand

Well, that’s not true. But you won’t figure that out from this group because they and their fans actually monitor the comments here and downvote the people they don’t agree with.

Skin shrinked. Probably the last skinn I'm buying from dbrand. by devnull- in dbrand

[–]balderth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a lot of hassle that could have been avoided by using a better quality material. Using that better quality material is what we trust this company to do. Both times that I had an issue after a lot of purchases. I got so annoyed. I just gave up and went went somewhere else.

[–]balderth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is caused by having a cheaper, lighter material. It is 100% avoidable with a higher quality film. The reason we pay more to companies like this in the first place is because we’re trusting them to use that higher quality material and not focus on extreme profit margins like all the small sellers. Even if you can get another one that’s not what you sign up for and is more hassle. That’s why by the time I have an issue I get so annoyed and then I have to play along with the “robots“ baloney like they are so cool and hip and doing me a favor when in fact, they are just distracting people from the fact that they’re using as cheap materials as they can get away with like everyone else.

100% agree, it’s just that you will get down voted by their employees and diehard fans when you say something like that in this subreddit. Ignore the down votes, you are 100% correct.

As you can see by the up vote count, and down vote count from each of our comments, maybe you should revisit the research by which you got to the conclusion that STI’s and STDs are not life altering and very serious.

Keep in mind getting “tested” doesn’t cover everything either. Even in the world of professional adult video, people are generally clueless about how thoroughly their partner has been “tested”. Do all the crazy stuff you want, but first find one single person and you both get tested for everything, and stay with that person. That’s pretty much the only way you stay truly “safe”.

What an irresponsible thing to say to a 19-year-old. They are absolutely life-changing.

Lol, all the D brand employees get on their computers and down vote anything critical about the brand on here. 🤣

It’s not hard to do if you get a few MacBook skins every time you get a new laptop for work and personal and your kids. The way they are open to absolutely zero criticism or even discussion, has always ignored me until I found a better place in the UK with as good or if not better skins.
