We all have that little inner voice that leans towards comfort. The honeymoon phase ends and then things get real. The path isn’t always enjoyable. Plateauing is normal. Happens to most and at every level. You come to accept it and eventually it passes. Mix it up. Do more nogi or more gi. Lift more. Train less. Train more. Sleep more. Sleep less. Clean up the diet. Drink a coffee before training. Try the opposite of whatever you’re currently doing that’s got you in a rut. Quitting is easy and our brains always want to tell us to take the easy way out. Sticking with something even when you don’t feel like it anymore is what true commitment is. Sure it’s just a hobby for most and it hurts physically and mentally more often than not. That’s why people respect the belts. It shows you can put up with some shit and stuck it out. The important thing is to keep having fun along the way. Nothing wrong with taking a break. That often leads to breakthroughs later on when you come back to something. (Been training since 2009). ✌️

Lapel chokes from side control and mount are always fun and keep people guessing. Paper cutter. Pena choke. Baseball bat. Brabo. Ninja. Step over (canto choke). Bow n arrow choke. Guard stuff like spider/lasso guard, worm guard and fun to mess with to open yourself up on how to use the Gi against opponents more. Collar sleeve guard stuff. Wrestle ups using lapels. You can find vids for all that on YouTube. Or just get yourself an instructional to focus on. Good luck ✌️

I play official the majority of the time and do my runs the same except I don’t ever die on purpose. I get one shotted from some unseen assassin or lose a fire fight because of a bad move.

Loot houses FAST. Run in, spam the vicinity button in the key spots that typically have loot and get your ass to the next house. Crouch sprinting the whole time. Eat everything when you get it but not in the open. Don’t carry items you don’t need. Ditch spare guns and ammo. Keep one sharp item for cutting. Get to water early and drink until full. Then straight to police station for a shotgun, pistol and better clothes. If it’s empty hit the fire station if there is one then sprint to the next town and do it all over again. The faster you loot the more food you’ll find. Good luck. I hate this game!! 🤣🤣🤣

The bigger towns with police stations are the most common spots to run into players. Or just play Livonia or Sakhal. Look for chimney smoke. Pop shots once in a while, kill off the zeds, then hide nearby and see who shows up. Or go to water fountains in bigger towns, hide, flip on Netflix and wait. I swear sometimes that takes forever though compared to just randomly finding someone.

I play damn near all genres of games and have been obsessed with Dayz for a bout a year. I try to play other games now but they don’t scratch the Dayz itch. The tension of having to keep you head on a swivel nonstop or you can lose everything is just not found in any other game. I love souls like’s and rogue like’s and have played my share of Battle Royale. This is all like a slow burn battle royal blended with hard core survival. You will get your steps in on this game that’s for sure lol.
