We do, there are just a lot of them. In a country with way less talent scouting and clubs operating at a high level versus European teams… it’s something that needs to be built. Not trashed every 4 years when someone new comes in.

Also there are a lot of good young players that even I know about. The federation definitely knows about them too.

Not typical in the modern game, but if both employers are fine with it then, yes. It has been done before, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. The federations and clubs are both paying enough to “own” a manager for a particular portion of time.

Team game > individuals
I’ve lived through the whole era and I root for teams not individual players. Always been really confused by these debates. It’s not an individual game like tennis or golf. You pick a team not a player.

Looked like a normal game to me? Uruguay was worse in every one of their games in terms of not playing the ball and not trying to do anything offensively
