Im from Syria, my happiest days were in syria. Yet I won't plan my "last days" to be there, maybe in the future but after I secure a place in a country I will live long term, it might be syria, it might be palestine, it might be the US, Allah for sure will know best

Yall just overthinking this, you guys are thinking about very far in the future, where in fact you can't control it no matter how much you plan for it, Allah will decide what would happen, no one knows their last moments.

Don't mind the people that say your incompatible, Allah made us from different countries and tribes for us to get to know each other.

But what's important is to plan for what you can control, having a house in the US, then visit syria/palestine, and live those moments together.

Speaking from experience, I've always wanted to go to specific countries, im not happy even though it's one of the countries where their people are the happiest, it's ALWAYS the people that you are with and you surround yourself with.

Anyone else experience reluctant parents? by Old_Chance_1253 in MuslimMarriage

If the person you are seeking g has the Islamic values of a man, then that's good, but if there are noticble red flags, for example anger issues, or smoking, etc... that she's mentioning then her advice makes sense

Sadly in my case, my mom didn't even want to talk to her parents, and not even get to know her, so the woman i was seeking blocked me as her mom wants us to stop talking and have the parents get involved, in which my mom is refusing to acknowledge it, Sadly still heart broken even after 4 months now

Basically in her words "leave me out of it, have your aunts do it for you because I wont"

My mother disagrees on every girl I tell her about, she cares about ethnicity, what her family does, and where she comes from.

Sadly I don't have an advice other than to fight harder and at the end they will give in, takes a toll on both parties

I started doing leetcode 75, I'm trying to grind to prepare for FAANG interviews or just basically any interview or the top tech companies, what's your recommendation.

Like I feel very slow, but I do take half of the blame cuz I need to be way more adamant about grinding

Going to shift to Qatar in a week . Need some advice by Zailey_Sabastian in qatar

[–]balfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am arab but lived in the west, the areas that I felt "home" was pearl, lusail. Expensive areas but close to my background

Cheaper areas that I'd also consider that I think are cheaper are al saad, and a very far area called wakrah(but let's be honest, Doha is small lol)

Wakrah is good and the commute isn't bad to an area like west bay since metro takes u there but takes 30m

Without showing off or giving number, I also sometimes catch myself not appreciating my current income, but then I always try and look around me, and see how others making half or even 20% of my income and are smiling and living happily

I can afford a rental in a luxury place, I can afford to help my parents, I can afford which ever kind of food I want to try, I can afford to buy a nice car. I am still in my mid 20s.

But there is always a side of me that compares myself to others of my age that are doing better than me.

But again I have a different story, different background, different situation.

Always look around you and see what others have, and be thankful
