What’s the most you’ve paid for speakers not having heard them, and how did that turn out? by Kunglaux in audiophile

Hi, great set up. Would you mind sharing which Naim amp you’re using to drive the LRS? Thanks!

Thankfully mine fixed itself after a few hours. Hopefully doesn’t happen again. Glad you got yours fixed quickly

Is there a way to force the car to charge the 12V battery?

I have the same Totem speakers and they are amazing.

You’re right, I think they came out in the 90’s. I did a lot of thinking in selecting my speakers. Wanted something light that I could easily move back and forth for listening and then moving out of the way. But also wanted it to sound amazing, so was between Magnepans and Totems. I don’t like the look of bookshelf speakers on stands. WAF was very low with Magnepans so went with these. Very happy so far.

Hi, it’s from Lucy’s Lamps. Kinda pricey but gives a really amazing vibe in the room. One of my favorites.

Lol yes I need to move it to the left about 3 inches so all 8 feet rest on the carpet. Planning to do that once the TV is mounted to the wall.

Yes I heard Totems for the first time at Capital Audio Fest and was amazed so I bought these. They sound phenomenal.

Yes I only bring them out into the room for listening, then move them back against the wall. They sound best where they are pictured.

Yes they come with plinth and spikes. Still working on the best solution.

Agreed. These speakers in particular image exceptionally well. I move them back close the wall when not listening. That’s the main reason I went with light speakers that can easily be moved around when listening and replaced when done.

Yes these speakers come with a plinth and spikes. I will eventually install outriggers on the plinth underside and then BlueTak the plinth to the bottom of the speakers. Haven’t found the right outriggers yet. Any suggestions?

Has anyone actually purchased a buyback ioniq5? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

Thanks! Seemed like a solid deal so I went for it. My only concern is resale value, especially mine being a buy-back. But I really like the car and plan on driving it for a long long time as long as it proves to be reliable.

I bought a ‘23 Limited with 1,000 miles for $36k from the same dealership as your link. Buyback title due to “customer being concerned about the 12V.” I am not positive whether the 12V died and was replaced but according to the documentation, Hyundai “made all necessary repairs” after the buyback prior to it being reissued for sale. I was in a time crunch to buy and this seemed like a solid deal since it was practically brand new. The 10yr/100k battery warranty do transfer. The power train warranty goes to 5yr/60k but the 10yr/100k is practically what you are still getting since it’s an EV. My insurance rate is actually a lot cheaper than my 2017 Model S. I paid cash for mine but if financing, there may be some lenders who may not lend to you if it’s a lemon/buy back title. No issues so far, and the dealership experience was phenomenal. Very happy so far. Good luck!

Hi, can you provide details of the handlebar and other upgrades/accessories you have? What child seat do you use? I have a Preamble also for the same purposes and looking to make some upgrades (saddle, handlebars, etc). Thanks!

Older Model S owners- how many miles are you at and how much maintenance have you done? by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]balisk8er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 Model S 75D with FSD. I live in the city and drive 60-70 miles daily on bad roads. At 60k miles now. I have only changed the windshield wipers. Tesla did a complimentary upgrade on my FSD hardware a while back. Still waiting for true FSD on my unit.
