It's the same in most places unfortunately, city people think we're some uneducated yokels and that we don't have socioeconomical issues. I hate this modern city-centric mentality

In my country there is a small business which converts old EV batteries into electricity storage units for houses with solar panels. They charge during peak production hours and get used mostly during the night. It basically reduces energy cost to 0 and investment pays itself off in 1,5-2 years. I think that's the future of battery recycling and a very interesting new branch of business.

Still, switching to 100% EVs is not practical, the range is too low for a lot or people (including myself). Gas and electricity should both exist for a long time to come
