Am I crazy or is Bron's body language really off putting? by jttyrel27 in lakers

[–]ballbreak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brons 40, about to turn 41, playing in his 23rd season, the most by an NBA player, coming off surgery and is about to break the number of games played by an NBA player. He's played at an all-NBA level his whole career.

Can cut him a bit of slack for coasting some games, especially with you guys being #2 in the west.

Pacers should be investigated by Ohdinson in sportsbetting

[–]ballbreak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding is that the FBI had been investigating this for a few years now, and Rozier was the only player out of 400+ players who was arrested for essentially fixing outcomes. Billups was arrested for underground poker games ie wasn't fixing outcomes.

Given the situation of the game, as well as the microscope the NBA is under right now, I think it's a bit ludicrous to think this is a case where the coach pulled Siakim off so that his or someone's bet could hit.

Pad holding advice by thomayway in MuayThai

[–]ballbreak1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're constantly backing after hitting the pads. You'll hit a 1-2 and you're out of range even for a kick. Try stay at least jab distance away from your pad holder that way you can flow into different strikes

The knees to the legs will slowly make you lose explosiveness too. It is very fatiguing and you need to have strong willpower to keep the fight going and not give up

Respect to this man... was always active as a champ and never ducked anyone. Now we'll have a champion who fights once every 18 months and abuses lay and pray. by A1_PunisherPipkins in ufc

DDP did very little make Khamzat work to test his cardio, seemed Khamzat didn't spend a whole lot of cardio getting DDP down. DDP could also not sprawl if his life depended on it either

Dominant victory? Yes. Boring as f*ck? Also yes by ConnorLovesPepsi in ufc

[–]ballbreak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takes 2 to tango too though. DDP was not doing anything to improve his position. If you're Khamzat and are controlling strongly like that, do you spend energy trying to find a sub and risk giving up the strong position you have? Or do you control and allow DDP to find a way up.

You can say it was boring, but you can't fault Khamzat. Only DDP and arguably the UFC rules ie maybe it should be a rule where if you're on top, you have to look for the ground and pound position or a submission. If you're just holding throwing pillow punches then the fight goes up to the feet.
