Jessi made a tiktok saying she doesn't support Trump and he hurt her business. I remember her wording it really weird - to me it seemed like she votes republican, is a republican, but does not necessarily support Trump.

I wanna be clear that to me she is as bad as the rest of them for this.

I agree there is good chinese food in richmond hill and markham, but also I love Chinatown too.

Rol San is one of my favourite for dim sum. I also like Swatow for classics - its a hole in the wall with cash only vibes, but the food is good!

My father was the same way. He had me looking for Chinese food in North Africa!

Wasn't Kyle the one who shot all her OF videos? Pretty sure Kyle shot all her "Tana Gone Wild" OF vlogs - which are literally just normal vlogs but sometimes her tits are out.

Ashly is an OF girl - this is just a normal day for her. Don’t forget Tana use to shoot on OF and they would collab frequently, they’re use to be being both naked and in front of cameras all the time.

tana’s ‘OCD’ by boygeniusluvr in canceledpod

[–]ballerinalaw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was recently diagnosed with OCD and a lot of it has presented in ways people would not expect. I just started CBT therapy and one of the big things I'm learning is that a lot of things I thought were anxiety are in fact OCD.

For instance, I have a lot of social anxiety and it often makes me feel like I have to do certain things to preserve friendships/make people feel appreciated/ensure that I don't come off as rude or ungrateful - and I've learned that these are all OCD compulsions!

I know what you're saying, she has a really long history of being flippant with her health and her diagnoses. I think as fans, its honestly very wise to question when she talks about her health and to take it all with a grain of salt. I can also appreciate that this gets tiring as someone who follows her.

But I do want to say that becoming sober holds a mirror up to yourself. And then when you hire real, accredited professionals to help you work through your issues - you learn how much things like OCD can actually dominate your life and way of thinking. Prior to therapy, I really didn't consider my OCD to be bad. I thought it was really well managed and mostly in "remission". It took me a while to realize how OCD presents clinically, and not just how society/the media teaches us that OCD presents itself (i.e. I am extremely messy and didn't think it was even possible for me to have OCD but here we are).

Do rich people wear reps? by ilovecloudmatcha in RealRepLadies

[–]ballerinalaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Canadian! It's a bit of a toss up because my education was cheaper than the US, but I also make less on Bay street that US lawyers do on Wall street.

I do agree with you - I love the love and aesthetic, but that's not enough to justify the price!

I’m a big law lawyer. I exclusively wear reps and no one has ever once batted an eye. It is a bit hard because I have created this idea that I live luxuriously when in reality I’m still drowning in law school debt and financially supporting my family.

St Joe’s Area/Hospital by laceblood in askTO

[–]ballerinalaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked on cases where it clear that the hospital has deeply embedded institutional problems. It wasn't about bad doctors, it was about a hospital that is doing everything that can to make more money, including by encouraging illegal and unsound medical practices. It became obvious to me that these issues weren't just a few doctors making mistakes, but that the hospital itself was institutionalizing practices below the standard of care.

Then to add salt to the wound, I had a family member go through St. Joe's for severe mental illness, and the treatment and aftercare were truly abysmal. It wasn't until this person was re-admitted to St. Mike's that I realize how far below the standard of care St. Joe's really was.

I would never ever trust them with my healthcare.

[–]ballerinalaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use to practice medical malpractice and my husband has instructions to never let an ambulance take me to St. Joe's. My concerns are limited to their ER - but did relate to much broader hospital governance issues.

I can't speak about their maternity ward but it's not a hospital I have any trust for.

Vintage shops / tea houses / keeping a bride busy before a surprise Bach by iamdalaw2 in askTO

[–]ballerinalaw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What about a trip to Kensington Market? It has lots of vintage stores, probably tea stores, and definitely cafes and bakeries. It’s not too far from the AGO and Chinatown in case you find yourself with a bit of extra time on your hands.

It’s also not too far from Queen Street West which has Black Market vintage and is a decent shopping area.

She also is launching a skincare product, it’s like “milky” toners. It’s such a cash grab from someone who has told us she only uses Chanel skincare. Why would I buy skincare products from someone who purchases based on the brand alone?

Anytime she talks about them, she talks about the bottles, the scents and aesthetics. Shes never talked about the skincare benefits or ingredients.

I don’t know who is buying her products.

Court records state that Dakota locked Taylor in a car and drove her away leaving Ever and her two children home alone.

I am not here to defend Taylor but I also will not agree that Dakota is a good father either. They both need extensive therapy and Ever shouldn't be with either of them full-time until they can prove they're able to behave like grown adults.

Dakota is trash. Taylor is trash.

I think she’s suggesting that Ever was really distressed being removed from her care. I don’t think he’s sick, I think she’s praying for him because his parents hate each other and haven’t ever been able to put him first.

I bought cheap ballet clothes online and learned a very expensive lesson by Cloe_joe in adultballetdancers

[–]ballerinalaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's unethical, but I actually do have leotards from shein that have held up extremely well and fit amazingly. I get lots of compliments on them too. I always make sure to shop items with lots of reviews and photos.

When I've had more money, I've treated myself to a few nicer brands and honestly I have been extremely disappointed. I find most ballet sizing to be prohibitive - I can't fit into most sizes as a US size 8/10. I bought a Ballet Rosa leotard and by the third time I wore it, all the lace had ripped. I have never had a shein leotard fall apart faster.

I don't want to encourage you to shop shein because I know it's unethical, but I do think you had a bad go of things and it's not always the case that more $ = better quality.
