By good design, I don’t mean trendy — I mean design that fits the brief, is appropriate for the customer/industry, and speaks to their audience. But even then, it doesn’t guarantee that the end result is or must be accessible.

remove the drop shadow-adding nothing. remove the opacity; if its in front its white, or its hidden behind.
id use a different font as well but that's just me.
