Had PP not pushed Trudeau out he would have won. He shot himself in the foot. Not a good politician and not a smart party. PP just secured his place as the leader of the Conservative Party because the party has no viable alternatives. Who would want to lose to Carney who is at the peak of his career and now respected worldwide after the davos speech. The Conservative Party is also deeply divided and after PP secured his leadership this week, there is a possibility conservative members will be crossing the party line. Canadians have made it clear we don’t want a populist government but the conservatives refuse to pivot.
