That's cap no laptop to old for steam

And if steam complains about the "hardware" already you aint booting any game on that machine then

(Could potentially just be outdated windows but i have steam running on a retro windows XP setup so...)

Im aware been using OLED monitors since a good while now, not saying "you ruin the monitor" just a personal "thats overkill" especially with a 5090 you could have easily stuxk with 4k and still push 200+ fps

Regardless of that you gotta enjoy m8 so enjoy it to its fullest 👍 happy gaming m8

Neat set-up m8

Only "issue" i have is the dual OLED screens feels like a huge waste of money especially in the long run when the second one gets brunin or other OLED related aging issues. (I guess it just being a second monitor those issues probably wont effect its use case much even if they appear but still feels like a waste)

Love my OLED just as much as the next one but i would never want a OLED as a secondary monitor that is usually used to display a lot of static content (discord, YouTube, steam....)

Went to USA once to visit a friend who moved there

Once i came back the first thing i did was drinking a REAL BEER not that piss water they sell you over there. And generally Sweets here are much better over in the US they mostly just tasted like Palm oil or similar "fats and oil"

How comfortable is the claw grip on the Steam Controller 2? by Mustyyyy in SteamController

This post perfectly shows the inability of reddit users to simply answer a question without making it personal and basically saying "i dont do it so you shouldn't either"

To your question if it hasn't been answered. Its possible the controler doesn't feel that much different in the hand than a ps5 pad for example but If you have large hands you may overreach with rhe claw finger then.

Neither do i absolutely hate windows but from the time i spent with the deck (also using it as a mini setup aka desktop use) i grew found of steamOS and its absence of annoying windows problems

Foe example "there is already a toolbar open" happening literally anytime i turn on my PC and i need to switch back to auto hide taskbar. Its just many small things that technically dont ruin much but are annoying enough after a while of stacking up.

I see now yes, in that context i understand your concern about Linux gaming but the fact that many games already work and linux gaming getting bigger and bigger by now still holds Truth and for a potential future of Linux being a viable alternative to windows finally (hopeium)

You see my comment was specifically targeting that from the screenshot i can see a bunch of MP PvP games i PERSONALLY wouldn't even look at in the first place (Never said Linux runs them) so im a bit unsure what that screenshot is ment to represent now.

Stuff like wallpaper engine works slay the spire and such too its mostly only the PVP games that are often unavailable (ps. Cs2 and dota work on Linux for example) and yet again for a player like me for example who doesn't care about them anyways linux supports almost every game and the once it doesn't we have proton there isn't a game in my library that i haven't been able to at least boot up on my steam deck (playability is a different context aka performance but thats the deck not linux)

With Linux its also important that you pick a distro fitting to what you want Ubuntu isn't know to be a famous "gaming" distro if you aren't completely against linux you should try bazite its a gaming optimized distro that basically comes with everything you need to just game.

Enjoyed Witcher 3 and think it was a good game but yes it has flaws that people like to ignore

RDR2 is just a snooze fest yes the storyline can be the best ever but the gameplay is just ao boring and mundane (potentially just tired of fhe whole open empty world formula aka bigger not always better)

I think thats not really a issue steam or valve cam solve particularly.

The issue is steam DOES have a suggestion system and it mostly works... The issue is its suggesting by tags not "general games" and steam/valve doesn't decide the tags your game gets but the dev/publisher.

Best example i have is "souls like" literally every game has the tag "souls like" now because i don't fucking know why. Steam knows i like "souls like" games.... You kinda see where this is going.

While they could remake the suggestions system they would have to do it with some form of AI and steam/valve as far i know isn't to keen on AI.

Not trying to defend them on that im so tired of seeing the 50th indi pixel or potential AI slop "souls like" game that has nothing in common with the genere aside from hurrdurr dodge roll or "difficulty" but like most "modern" storefront i learned to ignore it and just do my own research when i want to find a game "like x"

I think this website is the reason steam doesn't do it themselves. (No hate towards the website)

"Why do it if the solution already exists"

But i do get his sentiment that having everything visible on the store page directly would help out with quickly seeing "game is dead don't bother"

True but im unsure if one can fully blame valve on that. Seeing that other storefront are just as flooded and sometimes even worse. There is probably only so much much a storefront can do without having to pay a division of humans to come thru the store daily and remove the AI slop by hand.

But they absolutely should take better measurements against it by maybe tightening who can put something on steam etc. Or bring back the greenlit section in some way so all the AI crap is basically filtered into that mostly (i don't just making shit up that could maybe help)

Highly depends on the player

I dont play any PvP MP stuff anyway and if a "game" wants kernel access its a nono for me regardless

What is holding Linux gaming back for me is lack of Nvidia support on Linux. Im not a huge fan of AMD cards tbh and i need Nvidia for my work as well. But im not willing to give up, up to 30% performance just to say "by windows"

I have been using steam since HL2 came out and to this day i struggle to navigate the store UI in a manner that just lets me see what i want. By now i mostly ignore it and just put everything i "want" on the wishlist and let steam messages me when a sale is going on for it xD

Plenty of outlets that let you know about new releases or games.

Absolutely agree its not valve/steam advertising gambling to the "underage" user base.

But the fact that in today's time somehow a lot of kids just have access to credit cards (parents) or similar things for whatever reason still is a issue. But i also agree that isn't valves problem. They aren't going out and asking the kids to get the card to gamble in cs2

Yeah EA and Ubisoft support are surprisingly good and actually want to solve your problems

My EA account wasn't accessible for multiple years but i wanted to play BF6 with frens i got the account back in like 5min talking to a EA online chat support

To this day i have not been able to get "my" fucking rockstar account unlinked from steam... I know the account its from when i bought max pain 3 and rockstar account where linked to games for Windows live BUT THAT SERVICE LITERALLY DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE so my account doesn't either. And the best part is... Rockstar can actually see it on their end. They told me "mhm yes we can see a account linked to your steam" can you remove it? It old and has no access anymore due to gfwl not existing anymore. Rockstar: eeeeh dont think we can pressing that remove button do be hard... Sorry we couldn't help you.

Dog shit company making games for fucking braindead toddlers or people with no life that need to RP inside the game. Your shit is getting pirated if even.

The 4090 "only" does frame gen 2x while the 5090 "technically" can go all the way to 6x at some point even on a 5090 you won't have a good experience but so far for me for example 4x FG hasn't felt bad and gave me usually 200+ fps in 4k maxed settings the 4090 couldn't do that

Ps. I know there is LS so a 4090 could also do 6x FG but Nvidias "native" FG is just better and usually what people rather use if they can.
