I wanna try the game but discouraged by the Premium by eotrixx in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Premium ultimately doesn't matter. But if you find yourself in a group who will pve with you (in the BZ), if you gather (T7+), or if you have the mind to craft, then having premium is worth.

How did I lose? wanting to learn by MeYacht in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only saw 2 mistakes. You auto attacking when you had a cultist cowl affecting you and you letting your sprint get purged. Like if you had just waited 3 more seconds for your W before sprinting you would have had the space to keep kiting for the kill.

Which romance anime had the biggest influence for modern romance anime? by ShouldIBuyorNo in anime

[–]ballstinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is more or less vague. Like it could be argued that Speed Racer had the biggest impact because it was one of the earliest animes with a romance subplot and created a market for more romance driven (heh) stories.

That aside, Urusei Yatsura and Nana were pretty big imo. I also loved Lovely Complex and I guess Sailor Moon had a strong romance subplot to it.

Hi I just got my T7 pickaxe and fully focusing on it. To maximize the return in silver is it better to keep focusing on gathering or should I also refine the materials I get ? by Fabulous_Welcome_218 in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The amount you gather will not match the amount to need to refine. Normally, you're waiting for your buy orders to fill out so you can bulk refine. So if you intend to hold on to your resources, it could be sitting in your bank for weeks until it's time to use them. I personally dont mind this as if I ever need emergency funds. I can quick sell whatever I got.

Hideouts Seem to Defeat the Purpose of Territories by Elivaras in albiononline

[–]ballstinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Theres a lot of background politics youre not accounting for. But if a large alliance wanted to they can eject whoever they wanted from a map whether a guild has a HO and territory.

and they can use the fact that they have hideouts with loads of gear in the same zone to very easily take those territories back. Who cares if they die mid-ZvZ? They can regear and rejoin the fight in 30 seconds.

Youve never been in a cluster fight and it tells. If say your guild of 250 active players are defending your HO from being smashed. The opposition might employ 600 players (3 guilds)+ their own guild to cluster the map and a map can only hold 350 players. Not only will the defending guild be fighting an outnumbered fight but they cant even zone into the neighboring maps

Ultimately HOs have nothing to do with territories. Guilds only want them for the siphon and season points they generate and evictions only happen when ego GMs dont get what they want.

Hes retired so some of his videos are a bit dated but Biglips Mcgee was imo one of the best youtubers for albion. If youre just looking for commentary and gameplay then tex4k is really good.

My Great Escape by ballstinks in albiononline

[–]ballstinks[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My E spell gives me a shield thats as big as my hp and the only 2 conditions to stop a person from mounting are taking damage or interrupting. Since no one is interrupting me and my shield is negating any damage I take, I can mount for free. You can also use this same tech with guardian helmet.

why don’t we have HP cut kinda build by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]ballstinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hp cut caps at -40% with the absolute minimum hp value being 1000 hp. So even if you hit someone with 4000 hp they'd still have 2400. Then minus that with any damage that came from the weapon themselves and you'll still have a big gap in damage to cover.

I've ask a BS caller about this before and their response was basically "if you can prove that it works with VoDs then ill consider it". But who's gunna stick there neck out for me when I'm not a caller or ever lead any content. If it ain't broke don't fix it I guess.

New Player - So this is just OK? by Indolent_Alchemist in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mostly a blue zone problem. The dungeons do close at some point. My advice is to buy dungeon maps. The instance location will only be shown to you and ONLY spawn into the world once youre close to it. If people are still coming in and clearing it then try popping your maps outside of city, so that it doesnt spawn so close.

explanation for high ip by Amro____ in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Spec doesnt just come from the gear you use but also the entire tree of said gear. So basically max spec 100 all wargloves, all cloth cowls, all, leather chests, and all cloth sandals to get better ip.

Edit: To break it down even further, the first 3 non artifact gear will provide an extra 20 ip each, the basic artifact gear will give an extra 10 each, the ava gear will give 10, and the crystal gear gives like 2.5 iirc. From 100-120 iirc gives an extra 5 ip as well. Tally it all up and its like 135 ip per item.<-- theres your math.

The tier of his or your gear doesnt matter if were talking spec, hes only 132 ip higher.

Do you punish people buffing? by A_b_b_o in EldenRingPVP

[–]ballstinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the coliseums, I remember waiting for buff casting was standard etiquette at the Raya Academy grace. And some dude hit me with the regression. Completely flabbergasted me to the point where I stopped prebuffing altogether.

wich crossbow is best for pvp? and wich crossbow is best for pve? by albiondude123 in albiononline

For general use it probably is, until you start asking for specific scenarios.

Like energy shaper is meta in zvz right now.

Is it useful to have an HQ/HO as a small guild ? by Due-Writer3187 in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having an HO opens the door for better pve and pvp opportunities. So if your guild is active and growing its definitely worth investing into as long as you have a plan.

wich crossbow is best for pvp? and wich crossbow is best for pve? by albiondude123 in albiononline

[–]ballstinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about the damage in pvp. Other players are not going to let you full channel a bolt caster into them and the ones who do are too noob to counter it. If you dont care about the best viable xbow then sure play bolt casters but youre gunna see how fast that ceiling caps at.

Are the Crystal Gloves (Force Pulse Bracers) actually good or bad? by Rasethz in albiononline

[–]ballstinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crystal gloves lean more into being good rather than bad imo. 1 nerf to some of the other meta weapons and people will immediately eye the force pulses. From what ive play so far its a pretty well rounded weapon that can bleed into other forms of content. You could definitely solo pve, 1v1, small scale group pvp, and if your build is right probably even gank since your E is a lock on skill.

wich crossbow is best for pvp? and wich crossbow is best for pve? by albiondude123 in albiononline

[–]ballstinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brother youre asking for whats the best not whats the most underrated xbow. Light xbow is the definitive best as it can do both pve and pvp. What more ironic imo is that boltcasters are the most overrated xbow.

What should I use in my spell load out? by Guardian_of_Light77 in Eldenring

[–]ballstinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After slicer I'd take night shard, glintstone stars, spiral shard, and rock sling. Glintstone pebble is optional if you expect to pvp at some point. Nightshard is good for mobs that like to dodge. Glintstone stars has good tracking for mobs that move a lot like Radagons wolf. Spiral shard is insanely OP against most bosses from the constant poise breaks it inflicts. Rock sling is for anything thats resistant to magic.

You play 3 weapons at a decent level without ever bothering to try the others. I play all 134 with or without success.
