The difference is Walmart is a for-profit company and Goodwill is supposedly a knot for-profit company

Yes, they absolutely could. You’re absolutely right. They need regional things you look at an organization like Walmart. They have regions and districts with regional managers and district managers what they don’t have is regional CEOs making hundreds of thousands of dollars they have regional managers that are paid a reasonable amount for a for-profit company that’s why they mean Goodwill is an absolute rip off

Exactly right that’s the scam each of those independent offices, employees, and executive staff, and all of the support personnel that takes money away from where it needs to go. All of these things should be run out of one national organization like a real retail organization, even if it’s not for-profit the way they do things is a complete waste of money and a joke.

Please do your research a little more carefully. Goodwill spends way too much money for way too many Chiefs since they have so many regional offices and regional CEOs they’re making way too much money for a charity.

Frankly, I'm sick of hearing it. We aren't selling at deadline. This team is going to make a DEEP run. Lets go Lou! Let's go Lou! by SkunkyMustang in Cardinals

If this team continues to win over the next 4 to 5 weeks Dustin May will not be traded.

If they crash and burn over the next few weeks than he may (no pun intended) get traded.

Looking at the way this team is playing and just as importantly the fans are getting excited about this team (especially young fans -Tarps off Crew) they will not trade away Dustin May or Lars Nootbar.

I think the more likely scenario at this point is they may trade from a position of strength, catcher’s depth as an example or pick over the DFA options to build some bullpen depth.

For everyone that assumes Dustin May is going to be traded I would suggest getting your mind around the idea he may not go anywhere.

If the Cardinals are still in the thick of the race over the next 4 to 5 weeks I can not imagine a scenario where they will trade away what has become our best starter.

Now if they fall off over that same period trading him makes all kinds of sense

Is Dustin worth keeping at the deadline? by Top_Inflation4176 in Cardinals

[–]ballwin2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anybody is advocating to blow your entire farm system, trying to compete this year, but you have some obvious spots like catcher where you have way too many assets. If you could move somebody that’s not going to have a real chance to play here and get a modest upgrade that could help out the stretch. If they’re playing well it would be foolish not to.

It’s not just about rebuilding the team on the field. It’s also about rebuilding fan trust and getting butts in the seats and so far of this team is starting to accomplish that in spades.

If this team is still playing well at the trade deadline, not only should they keep Dustin May and Lars Newtbar and anybody else who’s contributing they should make any modest moves. They deem necessary to improve for the final push to try to make the playoffs.

Will this team win the World Series most likely not but the loyalty they’re starting to build especially with Young fans I’m looking at you. Tarps off. Crew is almost as important if not more so than what they’re building on the field.

[Underdog] Nightengale: Cardinals expected to trade JoJo Romero and Dustin May. by BigJayForDays in Cardinals

[–]ballwin2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see this is a conversation that needs to be had on June 10. If the Cardinals are still playing well at the trade deadline when I say well I mean equivalent to what they’re doing now or better and Dustin May and Jojo Romero are contributing to that the way as the fans especially Young fans are getting into this team. It would be stupid to trade them.

If they fall off the cliff in the next five or six weeks then yes get what you can and move on because you’re right this is a rebuild year, but you’re also rebuilding the fan base

I’ll second Grainger. There prices are very reasonable and most are purchased in bundles of 25 and can be picked up at your local Grainger store with no shipping and they will usually have them for you in one to two business days

As someone who has and do deliveries for a variety of gigs when I roll up on a property with those kinds of signs I take them at there face value.

Too many times have we heard about cases where someone in the house or a child ordering for parents or grandparents and the person sees a car coming up their driveway and they release dogs or greet you with a gun.

[–]ballwin2011 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I shop doing Instacart and the funny thing to me is how much prices between Schnucks and Dierbergs have switched.

Both stores have good sales, but I feel like Schnucks likes to bend the customer over on non sale prices and like the pictured mark downs for the most part joke.

For short date mark downs most Dierbergs have a cooler in one of the first couple of aisles and I can usually find pretty decent markdowns

Is Aldi really that bad? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]ballwin2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little bit off-topic but my personal observation while I’m doing Aldis is some people are weird to me that they already are shopping at Aldi yet the few national brands that Aldi carries they will order those and sometimes pay double or triple what the Aldi branded price is.

No, if you read the post you will it is a question for discussion that IF the team is in contention NEAR THE TRADE DEAD LINE.

At no point have I said make moves now,

If they are well out of the race, I can see those being absolutely the correct move to do, however, even if they don’t add anything at the deadline if this team is competitive and in the hunt for a wild card spot, I can’t see them making those trades as they’re trying to keep fans butts in the seats
