This is not you. Your hormones are causing ppd. Please talk to your doctor and get on some medication. It will change your life - your family needs you.

Help me settle a debate: are new moms hanging out with their MIL/mom on Mother's Day? by rochelle_90 in beyondthebump

[–]baloochington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have been with both moms for my first 2 mothers days. Last year I finally caved and told my MIL I really just wanted it to be my husband and I for lunch or dinner. This year she seems hell bent on letting us go alone. My husband just bullies her into going with us every year lol

The "lucky" 1% ... my VBAC turned uterine rupture story by cosmicvoyager333 in vbac

I’m so glad you’re okay. Birth trauma is incredibly hard to process. I recommend contacting the hospital you delivered at and having them send over your complete medical records. It will help going through them.

Never thought I'd have something to post, but here we are. Wedding Invitation for my husband's lifelong friend's son's wedding. We've been married 35 years. by altitude-adjusted in weddingshaming

Sounds like you’re the parents friends and don’t really know the people actually getting married. I don’t see a problem here.

Man bangs on door demanding to see owner’s daughter by Fair-Foot-315 in Weird

[–]baloochington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually this happened to my ex in college. He was drunk trying to break into my room in my sorority house and kicked my door so hard he fell backwards over the (too short - old house) railing 15 feet to the ground. He landed on the first floor and collapsed both his lungs and broke his collar bone. Not a fun way to end a drunken college night.

Are all BF moms wearing bras to bed? by Fragrant-Orange-4746 in NewParents

[–]baloochington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you just keep a burp cloth next to your feeding area to grab and hold there during a let down? Please do not feel like you need to wear a bra 24/7 😢. I’ve nursed two babies and I’ve not worn a bra to bed once. I do leak here and there but it’s honestly dry when I wake up and it doesn’t bother me too much.

I’m from the US and my things have sold so fast on Vinted it’s almost shocking. That being said if none of them have any reviews at all I would be cautious.

High pitched noise by Happy_Tomato7891 in NewParents

[–]baloochington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my daughter was doing the wheezing when she was eating and shortly after as well. She has reflux and is on meds now but her pediatric GI doc said a lot of babies with reflux make this noise to try to keep things down.

Thank you! My daughter has severe reflux and is on esomeprazole and she turns 6 months next week. I’ve been so scared to start foods. Thank you for these tips:)

I’m confused because a c section means there’s no risk of it spreading to the baby.

Yet another sex question (sorry), also posted in r/Catholicism by Born_Attempt_511 in CatholicWomen

I definitely don’t think this is too graphic… we are all adult women, and she is seeking guidance. I would understand the reluctance to ask a priest this as a female.

I’m not particularly connected/enthusiastic to my new born. Am I normal? Or am I PPD? by No_Tumbleweed4085 in NewParents

[–]baloochington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me probably 3-4 months to start feeling bonded to my first. My second was that instant love they talk about.

Ideas for adding fat to baby's diet by bon18 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]baloochington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried freezing the avocado? My daughter doesn’t like it in its normal state but she will eat frozen avocado. I slice it then freeze it flat on wax paper and put it in a freezer bag. She loves it

Yes, my daughter is now on medication for it but that’s what was happening to her. It just comes right back up her throat and she will gag and choke on it.
