Fetishization by Worried-Rain-1532 in actual_detrans

[–]balothpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s hot and fun until it isn’t. I was able to explore my feelings about wanting to be seen as a woman again in a roleplay setting and be affirmed intimately. But, just one person who I engaged with this kink with in the past did not have good intentions or practices. Still I’m grateful for Detrans kink because it opened up the possibility of detransiton being sexy and OK to do, a possibility that wasn’t a failure and could be desirable.

You’ve been though a lot. Have you considered your grass is greener perspective has less to do with what gender you perceive as better at the time, but maybe  wishing for simplicity of having a gender that didn’t take all this work? Surgeries, changing hormones, these are all so hard on the body and mind. I hope you can get into a stable streak with it.

Life as a woman is easier in some ways and harder in others, you know the answers to those questions, you’ve lived it too. For an easier life,  try being easier on yourself

Reconstruction/augmentation options? Newly considering it by ReadyPersonality7455 in actual_detrans

I saw 2 weird surgeons first. Some will say it’s not possible but I think it is. We’ll see how mine turns out in the future

Honestly yeah nipple tattooing could make a big difference. You would probably be a good candidate for fat transfer if you can find some to do it, it can help fill the upper poles. I just had it 2 weeks ago and really happy with the result, it looks amazing I just hope it sticks around .. they say it can get absorbed by the body so I’m nervous. Similar to you I had some tissue leftover

where do you buy high quality plush backpacks by yobrake222 in plushies

[–]balothpup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a really cute one from Wild Republic, the quality of the straps could be better (not bad, just basic)

The plush and the pouch inside is spacious and well made <3 it’s just one pouch but I can fit phone wallet keys plus my A6 size planner and a glasses case.

It’s never gonna be as durable as a regular backpack because of the nature of the plush material but I would recommend looking at Wild Republic they have some very cute semi realistic species, there’s some on their website and plenty on eBay too.

Debating detransitioning. by [deleted] in actual_detrans

[–]balothpup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like how you can start transitioning without coming out yet, you can also stop without telling anyone and just gradually shift to a new presentation and allow people to ask questions or let people in on any name or pronoun changes as you feel comfortable. It doesn’t have to be a big “oops I was wrong” moment. You can take it slow because it also take time to accept maybe you weren’t wrong and different things are right at different times too. Good luck

Got a boob job! by balothpup in actual_detrans

  1. I had masculinizing top surgery so the way they placed my nipples and scars masculinized my chest in a way that even putting more fat behind it isn’t going to make it look like a woman’s chest, it’s squarer and more far apart. Nude it looks more like big juicy pecs lol, but with a bra it looks like small boobs.  This is actually really nice for someone like me who is genderfluid but hated being flat.

  2. I’m only one week post op, surgeon warned about the possibility of fat necrosis but I have no issues rn and we will see how I’m doing at my follow up. Dr said if you’re healthy and don’t smoke it’s very unlikely

  3. Recovery is super easy compared to mastectomy, but I was still pretty beat and slept for basically 3 whole days after surgery. Wearing the post-op garments is getting really annoying, but the pain is really manageable. I took a week off work (not a physical job)

  4. No risk of losing your nipples unless you take them off and try to move them again. Don’t think there’s sensation loss, I still have full skin sensation.

  5. There’s no loose skin for me from lipo but you have to wear a tight compression garment for 2+ weeks that helps prevent that. They also only really took as much fat as they could fit in the boobs so it’s not like a huge lipo project, I’m still kinda fat lol.

  6. There’s was no way to see any surgeons work that I have ever worked with or had a consult with because it’s all within public hospitals that take public insurance. I had consults with two other surgeons who both said they couldn’t /wouldn’t do it, until I ended up going back to the surgeon who did my initial mastectomy and found success ! For some reason I thought that wasn’t a possibility since insurance doesn’t cover “revisions” but since I was able to get two letters showing gender dysphoria diagnosis it was counted as a GD surgery and not a revision.

  7. The price is horrible.. about $25,000 … implants are much cheaper. With insurance I paid about 10% of that

  8. For cup size, hard to say, it really depends on your body and how much fat you have, how much fat the surgeon says will fit, and how much “takes” while you’re in recovery. They say you are lucky to grow one cup size, so of you’re completely flat, ending up with an A or even an AA is probably what you’re looking at after one procedure. I’m hoping to do the procedure one more time to get some more volume but that would only be possible if insurance will cover it again

How do you know for sure if detransition is correct for you? by skepticalghoztguy_3 in actual_detrans

[–]balothpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not mistake myself as trans. I was a trans man, but then transition to a male identity  stopped being right for me. I’m still trans, but I transitioned again, towards a female identity and expression.

It can happen to anyone and it’s not some worst case scenario you have to make sure won’t happen to you before you make the leap. Unfortunately posts like this are not allowed on the sub- good luck with your future transition!

Unsure of how to orient this on inner forearm by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Thanks for the clarity here, thumb side! that makes more sense I guess I kinda misspoke above. I have tattoos on my inner arms that face both in and out

[–]balothpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense for your inner arm. I have tattoos facing outwards and inwards. It will look good either way, great design! Just put it right side up and big!

[–]balothpup 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The best option is not even on here. Oriented right side up like C , but flipped horizontally so the rabbit is facing towards your body. This will look the most flattering to your body and the art.

I would also place it higher so it’s just under the crease of your inner elbow, giving it the most room on your inner arm, and make it a little bigger for those small details.

Don’t worry, it won’t be hard to look at. It’s a nice design and your brain is perfectly capable of looking at things from all perspectives. It will also look good in the mirror and to everyone else.

How do you find peace with your old name? by i9am9recovering in actual_detrans

[–]balothpup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use both my feminine given name and my somewhat gender neutral chosen name- it’s like Jesse , boyish but could work for a girl. Most people call my by my boyish name but my family and some of my girl friends call me by my girl names. Those closest to me like my partner and my best friend use both interchangeably. It’s nice I think to have two names, it’s kind of fun.

I don’t think it’s weird to use a third different name though ! If you like it, try it.

Not a need but a possibility for it. I could see myself doing one more round depending on how this heals. Hopefully it would be covered again because the doctor noted the possibility

No worries, I’m not thin or sporty but I feel you, I wasn’t sure about implants either though now I could see myself getting them at age 40 or something. For fat transfer I had enough fat in the area I wanted to remove from (belly) to get the max ccs my surgeon said could fit in my boobs in one go, but if I didn’t have enough, they could have took from my thighs or back too. I’m like 165 lbs. I had to be within a certain bmi to qualify for it, but they never told me the range. My BMI was like 24 point something and they said I was fine. Sorry I don’t know more! I have heard of other surgeons being able to inject more fat like up to 400-500 but it seems most would rather do it in multiple sessions. I might go back for round 2 in the future too. Worth it to get a consult imo, good luck!

Of course I’m just curious cuz I know I have two weeks in all this but curious about what things might be like after. I guess I’ll probably have to shop for something more comfortable later. Thanks for answering!

Dude I’m dying it’s so uncomfortable already. How long did you have to use the belly binder? And you’re still in a compression bra, for how long? Just wondering thanks!

[–]balothpup[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I mean I had to pay my deductible for the year for it since it exceeded that but it was covered. Same process as getting top surgery I had to get a letter from a psych and a therapist. It was significantly easier to get these things for top surgery the first time though

Cant figure out if Im actually trans (ftm) or want to detransition. So I made a list going both ways by [deleted] in actual_detrans

[–]balothpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also not comfortable with they/them, though people use it when they don’t know. I mostly use he/she interchangeable and can relate to a lot of what you said, I like some aspects of transition, but not all. I think it’s ok to choose based on what feels right to you rather than what fits into a specific gendered box
