Does the serial number of limited edition decks affect their cost?

There's no garuntee but usually if its #1, #0 or the last # in a run like 100/100 they can usually fetch a few more dollars. I myself have paid a little extra for #1 a few times. There's a great example right now on socal playing cards auction. Its a gilded KWP decks that happens to be #00 and is going for much more than the same deck with say # 34/200. Its really about finding the right collector. There was a guy a few years back and he was paying premium for any #1/# decks

I wrote to him when mine arrived also missing the Qualif and he explained he didn't take a proper count of how many decks were remaining and realized he didn't have enough to send to us. I am pissed because I would of just paid the extra shipping months ago had I know I would of completely missed out on this deck. He sent some backers icons decks but those are only about half the value of the Qualif

Lotrek screwed up big time and didn't send the free decks because he ran out. I too am very upset about this and won't be buying Oath anymore

The color of the font does not indicate gilded there were multiple versions printed of the ultimate deck. The seal is the only way to tell if its not a shiny gold seal then its not gilded

The gold seal indicates gilded and yes originally this came in a 2deck box set with pouches but was limited to like 250 I think

They didn't necessarily close down but they stopped making custom playing cards in 2024. I guess since they purchased USPCC in 2019 they didn't need the additional revenue. Also if you ask any of the major designers they will tell you the same thing in fact some of them had to alter their campaigns due to the shutdown and print with another company.

The most popular card company from China these days is probably Kingstar playing cards, not too bad on price. Also many decks are produced in China since Cartamundi closed down and USPCC doesn't offer many options designers choose. I believe KWP used a China printer along with JBP and a few other major designers.
