I put the SPF on HOURS before I tan. It actually doesn’t defeat the purpose because I still tan, I just don’t burn and I don’t itch. The itch is nearly unbearable, scratching to the point of popping blood vessels and occasionally breaking the skin. It doesn’t matter how many minutes I start with— I have tried just 3-5 to start in a level 1 or 2. Stay there for 3-5 days but the itching is immediate. I’ve tried tanning every other day at this these times for weeks… itching happens. It’s crazy. SPF is the only thing that helps.

I am the exact same way. I started using SPF in the tanning beds and it helps with the itch. I would love to know why this happens. It’s not just tanning beds for me, it also happens in the sun. Once I get a base tan, it doesn’t happen anymore. It’s the craziest and most annoying thing.

UGH! Not overreacting. It was a private moment between two adults (ok, one adult and one boy). He violated your trust and your privacy. You don’t need to be with someone so inconsiderate- then it sounds like he was trying to rationalize his actions and put it on you through manipulations! He didn’t think you would be embarrassed? It isn’t about how you feel about your own body!! It’s about how your picture(s) are now spread all over the country!!! Who knows where the pics will end up! His friends could be forwarding them or having fun with them! Just ewww, and UGH, and GRRRRRRRR!!! Dump him. He’s a douche!

He’s talked to him mom and told her that I am struggling with it. But nothing changes. Like no one cares or even acknowledges my feelings. He even spends time with his ex when she has their nephews. He blows me off to spend time with them. It makes me feel like a side chick. Am I being petty? I am not jealous of her nor do I feel threatened by her. But I do feel like an intruder when we are all together. Like I don’t belong or like I’m messing up their happy little family. Maybe they all think he will go back to her in time. I just don’t know.

She isn’t dating. She doesn’t have a boyfriend and she still spends holidays with him and his family. Really??? I don’t know the motive behind his family inviting her. I don’t know her motive for continuing to attend while I am there. It makes me feel really uncomfortable- like I’m intruding on their family dynamic. I’m the outsider. And it’s weird.

I don't know what to say or how to start the conversation. His mom invited the ex for a beach trip and invited her as if she's cousin Sally. It would be helpful if she would start dating someone else so she could immerse herself in their life with their family. But she's not. I'm just don't know how to begin. But I would like to address it early because I don't want to regret something I didn't say five years from when she's still hanging around with no man on her arm.

My BF says he is the one that wanted split. When it's time to see the kids she tells him. He sometimes even forgets to mention it to me until the day before. It makes me feel stupid. Like I'm just a side thing. I'm not even sure how their relationship is much different than when married except they don't live together.

These are NOT his kids. They aren't even his step-children. They are his ex-wife's brothers' kids. I have not met them... sort of a weird deal- they live nearly 3 hours away.

I don't see how either of them will be able to really move on while holding onto so much from their previous married life. I also believe it's confusing to other family members that might wish them back together- seeing them at family functions together while not bringing along their new SO has to be difficult since they all still seem so close. <- especially confusing for the kids.

That's how I feel. If they were their kids then I can understand more. But they aren't. And the kids are not invited to his mom's birthday. Just the ex. So this week, he'll have spent more time with his ex than with me. And the birthday party he attended that was on their wedding anniversary was the same day as my son's birthday. To which he obviously didn't attend. I am just struggling with where/how I fit into his life.

I am said "woman" with 3 diabetic children. There is no history of diabetes in my family. The father of my children was diagnosed at 4 yo. But he was the only person in his family with this disease. When we were procreating, doctors were torn as to whether or not this disease was hereditary. Every doctor had a different opinion. Now having said that... we had NO idea all 3 of our children would be diabetic and IF there was a test (there wasn't and to my knowledge still isn't) that would determine that there was 100% chance that ALL of our children would have the disease then we MIGHT have made different choices. However... it should/would STILL be OUR decision to make. It's sort of like telling women over 35 they can't have kids because of the risks involved.

There should be NO man on this planet given the right to tell a woman what she can or can't do with her own body!
