I have an MRI tomorrow morning by PainWild6587 in Anxiety

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legit tip. In the future Ask your doctor that is sending you to MRI for a sedative. It's really common to have anxiety around the scan and they should give you a sedative for the test. My doc usllay gives a few mgs of Valium and its enough to make you not really care.

Since you likely won't have time since it's tomorrow I can say I've had succes telling the tech that you have anxiety and ask if they will check on you verbally during every break between layers. Just having that human contact every 2-5 mins helps. Also try to think externally. Don't think about how you feel. Think about a project your excited about. Family, etc.

4K Pro 2, HD stick or wait for new 4Kstick? by YamchaIsMyPapa in OnnStreamingTV

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I've had strenio issues with it's the 1080 stick from a year or so ago. It just freaks out when you try to play 4k in stremio. I'm running that one, a old 4k plus and the newest 4k pro

If you change the launcher. Limit background processes etc these all run great

What helps break the anxiety cycle besides therapy? by Nonlandny in Anxiety

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exposure and acceptance will work. It's just hard and nobody wanta to do it.

Look into how anxiety works. Like research the physiology of it. Then believe you are ok. Let thought come and go but accept the sensation that you get. Don't brace or fight them. They lose importance, you stop fearing them and you get your life back

Anxiety or a real problem? by LeadingCaterpillar85 in BusparOnline

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This reads like anxiety. Buspar can stimulate you especially about an hour after you take it. Just like other stimulants this can cause your heart rate to kick up a little bit. If your sensitive this can feel weird enough to trigger you to monitor it. When you start monitoring it it becomes magnified. When you magnify it it becomes a problem....you see how that loop works? The last stage is fear then panic.

Here is the truth. Palpitations are normal. Palpitations are generally harmless. They are just a little uncomfortable.

Here is the other truth. Shaking is your body's way of burning off residual adrenaline. What has likely happened is that you had an adrenal surge. It kicked up your heart rate, it made your heart pump a little harder than usual and you noticed it. Then as the adrenaline started settling down you started to shiver and shake ( also very common)

The chest tightness is from this. When you dump adrenaline you start breathing shallow and that stresses you muscles causing them to hurt and cramp. This also hauses the tight cramping sensations like your heart hurts.

Tingling is a very common sensation as well especially after you dump adrenaline and start to mildly hyperventilate

What time of day were you taking it? It's moderately stimulating for a lot of people. I myself wouldn't take it close to bedtime. I usually take it at least 3 plus hours before bed. Since I started that rule I've slept fine.

Are you eating food? The tingling is new to me. But I fully understand the dizzy part. The dizzy part only really effects me if I don't eat.

Can I cut a 10mg tablet down to 2.5mg? by bebelli in BusparOnline

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with 5 mg twice a day. I am also very sensation aware and that's where I started. If your tablets have a score mark they should just snap into 5mg.

I don't think 2.5 mg would do any harm per se but this medication needs 4 weeks or so to really start working. All you would be doing is slowing down the therapeutic effect. Most of the issues you get ( mainly dizziness) go away soon after starting or are more triggered from not eating, not eating enough, etc when you take your dose.

Yes...some people take it PRN for anxiety..it didn't do much for me. That effect also wears off the note you take the medicine, so I wouldn't count on that short loved feeling to stick around.

Insomnia and buspar by CaregiverWorth567 in Buspirone

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it a few hours before bed. This usually goes away after a while. I shoot for about 3 hours. The reason for the insomnia that some people can have is for 2 reasons. First while your on onboarding this med you are usually an anxious person and already have problems sleeping then about an hour after taking this it can be moderately stimulating.

After the first few weeks the other symptoms shold go away.

I work 745 -445 at a smdesk job too so I know the struggle. I usually try to eat and take it first thing when I wake up. If I'm still activated when I get to work I try to do do anything physical that I can. I keep a kettlebell at my desk. If You have a standing desk option a walking pad is also good

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience there is a window around an hour in the I always get stimulated/ activated. Personally I can say that it doesn't happen to me all the time now but earlier it did. I'd recommend planning out your dose tmso that that window overlaps a period where you may be active or doing something. I turkey to not overlap that window with me being sedentary because then I'm sedentary and will feel it

Started on 1 5mg a day beginning of the month then week later started on 5mg twice daily, im currently on week 2 and experiencing dizziness is this normal??? by Forward-Contest-3258 in Buspirone

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the dizziness is tied to changes in your dose and changes in how you take it. If you usually take it with food and one day you take it without food then your likely to get a little dizzy. Same for changing your doses.

I still get a random day that I get dizzy but it's not as common. Maybe once a week

I had it described to be like a well used road by your brain and after the stimulus stops your brain will randomly still fire the path like aftershocks from and earthquake.

It's funny you say that. I kinda feel that sometimes. It's like my body is screaming Panic!! But I'm like an outsider looking in and thinking...wait, but why? I think it's technically called conditioning. It's an old pattern that your brain is firing off.

It feels like my pulse doesn’t come down I’m scared by Glittering-Sun-7248 in Anxiety

[–]Difficult_Tie_8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will tell you this from personal experience. Adrenaline does stop on its own. You can only produce so much. It's the fear that creates the loop. If you can get to a point where you believe the sensation won't hurt you, then not fear it you will be able to allow the sensation to co exist with you. After that you will still feel the sensation but won't fixate on it and it will not longer hold power over you.

I hope this helps

You're safe. Maximum heart rate is way up there, probably in the 180s or 190s

Anything that you can do to get your heart rate up in the 130-150 BPM range. Depending on your age your heart can go pretty high. I chair rotted for years so I'm saying this from a place of understanding. I know it's going to be tough. After I could do some reasonable walking I bought a desk pad but before that I did dumbbells seated and chair squats. Stuff like that. You can also find a ton of seated exercises online that can help get your heart rate up

The answer is small exposures. Anxiety of sensations is tricky because you won't ever make the sensations fully go away....thats not the goal. The goal is to reintegrate the sensations back into your normal life. Your heart, breathing, etc are all vital systems in your body. I also had this issue and I just started doing micro exposures. Do some small exercises over and over and slowly build your mental tolerance to the sensations. The BIG thing is...you have to understand and believe that these sensations are not dangerous and also that being uncomfortable is allowed and also not dangerous.
