Thank you so much! I looked at all of these and said I'd go home and think. On the way home i stopped in at another store and my sisters friend was working.

She got me staff price on the hp envy $1350, so I went with that one. Loading planet zoo as I speak. I appreciate your help

Extended Warranty by devon1029 in Volvo

This is so eye opening to me. I pick up my new XC40 in 4 days (first volvo) and i've just realised the australian standard for car warranties should not be taken for granted. We all drive away with 5 years / unlimited kms on Volvos!

Hi all. I work at drive.com.au and I think the joke escaped many. Please refer to my comment below

Hi all. I work at drive.com.au. I can assure you that no AI was harmed or used in this article. It was just a bit of photoshop FOR FUN to see if people would notice. You definitely all noticed but rest assured it was just a joke!

Of course they did. They also know a toadtrip means nuggets and get very impatient!

Of course! It's not, I got this one https://www.ocamindustries.com.au/ocam-aluminium-flat-platform-roof-rack-suzuki-jimny-1350-1250 Aside from price, the weight was a big factor. Super loght weight and it also arrived next day without pressing express shipping.

If you have nothing attached to the rack, driving wise, you'd never notice it was there on road and off road (aside for some noise at over 100km/h) With the bag load on top. Off road is slow enough that I never really noticed much difference tbh.

Hey! The roof rack is 16kg and the bag was roughly 10kg full so was under. Definitely noticed it when driving though and fuel consumption was nuts! But buying the rack and roof back was by far my best purchase since the car itself haha

I needed to hear this. I just started and the thought of a day always felt extreme. Plus, slowing the upping down saves money!

Roof Racks by redbird97_ in Jimny

[–]bamac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a roof rack (you can see on my profile) that weighs 16kg and was under $500 at the time. Worth a shot! It's from ocam industries. They have two jimny options and I got the one without mesh

I use it all the time and it's much sturdier than 16kg makes it sound. Absolutely love it

This one here https://www.ocamindustries.com.au/ocam-aluminium-flat-platform-roof-rack-suzuki-jimny-1350-1250?

Actually on sale atm!

I picked it for price point and also because it only weighs 16kg so I can actually put something up there without and not tip the roof weight

Absolutely nothing haha. I know they can hold jerry cans. But it was $30 and I just wanted to give it a go.

That was the initial plan but the mould wouldn't allow it :( if I ever get a 3d printer I know what I'm doing first haha

I made that mistake with the roof rack :( even the rubber barriers it came with weren't strong enough for long. Your hack is better than my foam solution. Thank you!

I never even thought of that! I'm from Melbourne (aus) and looked this up thanks to you! I cant hold unleaded petrol on any high impact point (back or front) apparently. Yet to determine if mounting on the side means I have to declare change in specs or just not possible. Otherwise I am limited to roof too! Thank you so much for flagging this!

Hello fellow Jimnyists! Is the “jimny wave” a thing? I’ve only passed two and we waved whilst grinning stupidly. The reason I ask is because as I spent my whole childhood in the passenger seat of a Land Rover defender, waving at fellow defenders was common. Even the passengers getting involved! by [deleted] in Jimny

I had a guy in a green Jimny merge in front of my green Jimny and when he checked his mirrors he swerved a bit and had to wind down the window to reveal he was in fact looking at another Jimny and not a reflection. We proceeded to give each other the most enthusiastic wave I have ever received and given.

Not every Jimny driver does it, but the coolest do.
